RE: All You Can Do is All You Can Do

in #hive4 years ago

You can lead a horse to water but you can't force him to drink. You know, I tried the same thing with my friends and other content creators especially in the alternative news when they started to talk about censorship a few years back. I thought the same to myself, they should have listened and they would still be thriving instead of scrambling and starting fresh. I don't even post content likely to be censored and I still prefer sharing it here.

I have a few friends that are creative and had dreams of doing something with it but for some reason, they take one look at this place and run the other way. First, it seems too complicated and secondly, people are afraid to try new things or explore their own talents. They prefer working for free on a known platform than seeing what they might be worth somewhere else. To be honest I also see that in real life with real work skills as well. People prefer the settle for less with the comfortable than explore the unknown that could potentially change their lives and get them a better standard of living, perhaps it's just human nature to contain temselves in an unrealistic little box.

I don't know if it's people's fears and own limitations that prevent them for joining. I still hope to see them here one day but in the meantime, all I can do is focus on my own journey and keep sharing my work where they can see it in case they change their minds. I think the concept of cryptos is to weird for most people to wrap their heads around at the moment and the "criminal" connotations mainstream likes to spin on crypto. Like you said "All you can do is all you can do".
