in #hivelast year

image.png

First of all, thank you @guiltyparties for creating the list. Here is an overview of the accounts that have been compromised recently or for some time now and which appear to have been victims of a phishing attack and whose liquid funds on Hive are being sent to the hacker wallet named @ansarbutt01. Some of the accounts also underwent a power-down and all liquid funds were gradually transferred.

If any of you know anyone on the following list personally or have any contact with any of these people - please let them know that their account has been hacked and they should change their keys as soon as possible.

I know we can't save everyone, but you can protect yourself against phishing attacks by trusting in common sense. If an offer is too good to be true, there is definitely something to it and it should be questioned. It is a pity to see that so many users have lost control of their keys and that their accounts are being emptied.

Stay Safe!

Sort:

Any idea how they got phished? Was trying to recover a few of them this morning.

Not yet - needs to talk to those people behind the accounts and double-tripple-check what they did and what they all have common.

Looks like common sense is not so common. Otherwise there would not be so many hacked accounts. People should not give their wallet keys to others at all. And they should always double (or triple) check the website address, where they login to their Hive accounts.

Thanks for bringing this important piece to our view. I'm sure many people just like myself will benefit a lot from this. I will be careful not to open link that is not familiar nor comes from a direct source.

Thanks for warning, share to get message further out...

@tipu curate

Thank you for looking out for others. Be safe out there guys.
