It's built on top of hive and makes everything a little smoother. Easier to search and browse communities. It's one of the many dapps you can use and log in with the same info you use to log into hive.blog

Ive found the problem was this place needs an password authentication for everything and sometimes it goes "time out" and you don't get a clear notification of that (that's what I understanding till now)
Also what do you mean "using peakd" we using it already?

yeah, i was just making sure it wasn't because you were just using hive.blog, which i consider the bare bones. When the dapps built on hive.blog run so much better: peakd and leofinance.io are pretty great.
