Great initiative. My first concern is how good Internet access there could be in this moment in the regions on conflict. We all remember the conversation in Twitter about starlink being activated, but the distribución of the required infrastructure would not be fast or uniform among the population.
Lucky enough it looks like the Internet network in Ukraine could have a strong topology amd infrastructure that could keep it alive for long -but maybe not stable-, and it looks like there are several companies providing Internet connection. The fact that we keep seeing videos of the conflict makes me feel more confident in that the normal ukrainians may be having some kind of access to the internet.
In this moment it looks like Rusia is blocking some centralized social networks on their own territory , a decentralised technology can for sure make a difference if this censorship reaches the Ukrainian territory.
Good points regarding internet connectivity! But I think we'll just have to hope that it will remain available and provide tools and support to those who do have access.
After all, helping some is better than none, right?
Absolutely agree, and we can see some ukrainian hivers that keep posting, which can give us a lot of hope for the moment.
