In the cryptic terminology, there are large accounts with huge capitals, capable of moving the market and of promoting ambitious projects that increase the value of the asset they possess; these large investors are called "whales".

The whales are not alone in this wonderful crypto sea, they are just part of a complex ecosystem where fish of all sizes live together. According to @hivebuzz (formerly steemitboard), the Hive Ocean is home to red fishes, minnows, dolphins, killer whales and whales.
- Red fish: All users with a capital between 1 HP and 499 HP (Hive Power). They are the smallest fish and just like in the real life sea, they are the majority in this ecosystem. They are made up of all new and small users who for one reason or another have not increased their HP enough to be considered somewhat larger fish. They represent the base of the chain, and while there are many of them that are just ghost accounts, there are also very valuable users that could one day become great characters within the Hive Ocean.
- Minnow: Remember the little fishes that are in most fish tanks all over the world, those little silvery, shiny fishes? Well, those are minnows. So are the fish that they usually use as bait to fish. I can't imagine a smaller type of fish than this one, according to my logic of someone who knows absolutely nothing about fishing and fish, the minnows should be the first ones in the Hive ecosystem, but what do I know... I neither invented that nor do I intend to correct something that I know almost nothing about. The Minnows are those with a capital ranging from 500 HP to 4999 HP. They are usually represented by small users who have made a medium commitment to the platform or (like me) users who have built their capital from scratch despite being unable to invest by doing power up.
- Dolphins: Dolphins are users who have between 5000 HP and 49999 HP. They tend to be users who, although they have invested some money in their accounts, are characterized by having a strong voice and influence in the community, more than by the capital they possess, because of their charisma, ideas, creativity and other values of their personality which, with effort and discipline, have managed to gain the trust and affection of many. Dolphins are often at the forefront of projects founded by orcas and whales.
- Killer whales: Killer whales are users who have between 50000 HP and 499999 HP. They are usually in charge of large projects of all kinds, Dapp development, interfaces, new chain codes, HF, SF, communities. They are usually users who, after some investment and above all, the contribution of their capital of ideas, have managed to acquire capital that allows them to carry out their projects and slightly support that of others.
- Whales: These are the big investors, with their 500,000 HP or more, are those who have bet heavily on the future of this platform. They often invest their HP in supporting projects that they believe will increase the value of the currency in the future.

Through @hivebuzz we can " gamify " the experience of growing up in this wonderful ecosystem so that over time, we become big fish that bring a lot of value to the block chain. This is beneficial because it motivates us to invest time and money, betting on the future of this wonderful place and at the same time having a way to track our growth over time.
For now, thank you very much for reading me and we'll see you in the next post!@hivebuzz has created a very interesting proposal, I recommend you to check it out to see what it's about and support it (if you want) with your vote. I heard from them again because they commented in my previous post congratulating me for becoming a Minnow (I'll do another post celebrating with you).
Congratulations @miguelvargas! You have completed the following achievement on the Hive blockchain and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :
