I do use dlease but only for curie, was surprised to see them requesting help in their posts after that then thought I'd put my HP to use so they can use it and it gives me something back that I've been powering up anyway.
But yes, otherwise people should look at who they are leasing to and review actions regularly of the account they are leasing to.
Curie seems to act pretty well. It's all about being aware of what you are supporting.
Yeah I trust curie and remember getting their vote on one of my posts 6 months in to my Steem/Hive journey which really gave me a much needed lift, now I'm trying to help them out so they can continue empowering people.
But you're right, people need to be aware but they just see the APR and don't go any further
