Blockchain help needed

in #hive3 years ago

About a month ago I noticed a transaction I didn't make. All of my HIVE (7.338) was sent to @rocky8796. I spent hours looking into it but I didn't find anything useful so I moved on. Today I log in to see that the same has happened with my HBD (40.682). It's sent to him again and I didn't do this. I need some help because all of my research has led to frustration and it feels like I am being robbed.

Sort:

if you did not do those transactions could be that someone got your keys (clicked on links that you should not and entered you active key somewhere?)

shared to my feed, maybe someone smarter will see it.

maybe changing your keys would be the smartest option.

Yes, I agree with Bil's suggestion, @photomonkey8. Changing your keys is something you must do immediately so that HIVE/HBD theft does not happen again.

You are being robbed. Like others have already said, you need to change your keys as soon as possible. Please use the wallet on either Hive Blog or Peakd to change your keys. Save the new keys in a secure place. I recommend running a virus scanner on your computer and also changing the passwords on any emails or cloud accounts where your keys may have been stored.

I will try and get in touch with you on Discord. If I don't find you please message me at GuiltyParties [.com]#5071 or tag me at https://myhive.li/discord

What bill.prag said.

I'd change 1 character in my master right away and regain control of the account. Please don't attempt it without understanding if that confused you but you need to protect yourself. Save it to paper. Once my master is secure again on paper only I have my account back.

Then change each key one by one, 1 character, then figure out whatever you did in the past that gave someone access to your private key.

Don't do that again.

@guiltyparties, if you haven't seen this yet, ping

Thanks everyone, I'll change them as soon as possible and do a virus scan on my laptop as well!
