This is a short reminder to check your witness votes.
It is important to do so regularly to support witnesses, which are actively contributing to the HIVE ecosystem.
A short summary on what HIVE witnesses do
HIVE witnesses basically verify blocks before they are added to the blockchain and thus help to ensure their validity and correctness. Besides that witnesses may contribute in the decision making process and the future of HIVE.
Every account can vote for up to 30 witnesses, which results in a ranking of witnesses according to their total voting weight. The top 20 witnesses, plus one witness from the remaining ones, are then verifying new blocks.
How can you vote for a witness?
There are numerous tools for voting, including my own, which you can find at https://primersion.com/witnesses. Just enter your HIVE username and you will immediately see on top (in red) if any of your witness votes is outdated.
Other tools:
https://wallet.hive.blog/~witnesses
https://peakd.com/me/witnesses
https://ecency.com/witnesses
...only to mention a few.
If you like what I am doing, please support me by voting for my HIVE / Hive-Engine witness using my tool or directly:
HIVE (using Hivesigner)
Hive-Engine (using Votify)
Done - voted!
But no visit without a !BEER
Thanks a lot :)
And cheers !BEER
Have some !PIZZA with that beer.
@primersion! I sent you a slice of $PIZZA on behalf of @xplosive.
Learn more about $PIZZA Token at hive.pizza (2/10)
Thanks for the !PIZZA, I didn't know there is a pizza token :D
@primersion, sorry! You need more $PIZZA to use this command.
The minimum requirement is 20.0 PIZZA liquid, and 0.0 PIZZA staked.
More $PIZZA is available from Hive-Engine or Tribaldex

.What does the orange mean on a witness. Most of mine are gray but a few are orange...
You mean the version of the witnesses? The gray color indicates the version that most of the witnesses have in common. Orange means it is different from that, but in your case they are all running a newer version, which is good :) Maybe I should change the color for newer versions to something more neutral / positive.
Thanks for the info and thanks for the tool, it makes it quite easy to make sure your votes are up to date.
What is your goal for being a Hive witness?
Supporting the ecosystem as good as i can and trying to bring more awareness to people, which I am trying to achieve with my page HIVE Monitor.
Right now I am focusing more on Hive-Engine, but that is bringing a lot of value to HIVE in the long term. I plan on shifting my focus more towards HIVE again in the future though :)
Thank you. More skillful and flexible witnesses with diamond hearts and hand for Hive, is sure a gem for this blockchain.
Voted you as my witness.
Thank you !BEER
I surely would love to become a hive dev in the future.

.@sketch17 voteandshare
Very much informative for a new user like me .I still have my 30 votes and still confuse how to vote and whom to vote.
That's great! You can vote for witnesses for example on my page over here https://primersion.com/witnesses/tangera04
Simply choose a few witnesses you want to vote for (me for example ;) ) and click on the checkmark on the right side. Then you have to sign the transaction using either keychain or hivesigner.
You should choose witnesses that you "trust" or witnesses who are actively contributing to make hive greater or witnesses creating interesting projects that you like.
Once again thanks for tidbit of information..👍
Yeah this reminds me that I have to check my witness votes too. Thanks. 🙂
Can you identify those Witnesses who are generous in curation rewards? I would like to give them my vote.
I am not sure what you are saying, the curation rewards are not decided by witnesses. But if you head over here https://primersion.com/witnesses and check out the APR column, you can see who is more generous with the APR for holding HBD.
How to understand does a vote has been outdated?
What I mean with "outdated" is for example if a witness is disabled and not actively producing a block anymore. In your case everything looks great, but you still have 23 votes left to vote for witnesses.
Here is an example of a "bad" scenario, where the user votes for 3 witnesses, which are inactive. Those votes should be removed and in the best case be replaced with new ones:
Now I get it , Thank you I will fix this!
You can also find me in the list of witnesses. I would really appreciate your vote :) !BEER
I've voted for you! Now give me one million hahaha just a joke! Keep going I like active people who does something good for the system!
Did I did it correct?!
:D Thank you!
Would also appreciate a vote for my HIVE witness a lot :) https://primersion.com/witnesses/projectmamabg

I made this on automatic trail so it can be easy for the community.
Any how the decisions making process requires a high amount of Hive...
So all under 10,000 HP may be count as a 0 vote I assume ;)

.Just discovered this tool and gave it try. Everything seems fine except one thing. I have a notification on top saying I should pay attention to @yehey showing the price feed in red colour, meaning it's wrong. So, what is going on? Should I remove my witness vote? Is it a bug? Something else?
