500 wrong tags spotted in about a year

in #hive2 years ago

This bot has been running for about a year and this week found its 500th instance of the #proofofbrain tag being mis-spelled. That means 500 different users have been notified as each is only told once to avoid spamming Hive comments. I look for a variety of typos, but may well miss some. It is always best to double check your tags. peakd at least will suggest some you have used before.

I would recommend trying to engage with people rather than trying to earn microcents with tribe tags, but I know people want the extra income. Be social on Hive and you will do much better. Get your friends to sign up and it will be more fun. In times when people are looking for alternative social media Hive should be an option.

Hive five!

Peakd is better with regard to tagging task.

Seen from the other side: when you introduce a shared tag, you better keep it short and simple. Maybe they could switch to #pob? I can imagine typos will creep in easily when you add a tag as an afterthought and that field isn't spell-checked.

In my day job, I saw someone putting a space in a URL, which isn't even possible here.

Shorter tags are good, but this one gives me a purpose :)

Please tell me this is an autopost?!?!

That would amuse me!

The bot is not quite that smart, but I could add something to create posts on milestones. That would be a fun little task. Not that I care what it earns. It has enough HP to keep it going anyway.

I thought at the very least I'd give you a brain worm to spark a tweak!

Happy 500! :D
