Step 6: Interact with the community
To get the most out of the Hive blockchain, it's important to interact with the community. Engage with other users by leaving comments, upvoting their content, and participating in discussions.

By following these simple steps, you can easily onboard the Hive blockchain and start exploring all that it has to offer. Remember to take your time and explore the platform at your own pace, and don't be afraid to ask questions and seek guidance from more experienced members of the community.

Another great Hive onboarding resource! You should curate all these into a collection and every Hive user can reference it to help new users

Also you've focused on Hive Blog, you should consider a post to explain all the different "blogging interfaces" like PeakD, Ecency, Leo.

I think it will help users understand how they are all the same, but also all different. Keep up the great work!

true will do... so many ideas right now, hard to choose what to focus on. What do you think will be of most value to the community as a whole @oaaguy? :)

Thanks for the question. I think that Hive can be complicated for new users, so the more we can simplify things, the easier it will be for them to stay and participate! This is a great way to help would-be bloggers learn the "non-blogging" knowledge to blog on Hive. A question I'm wondering is there some way to migrate an existing blog to Hive? Bringing over established blogs and a pre-built audience would be pretty incredible for growth.

From my perspective, I know that Splinterlands is a major onramp to Hive, but it's very overwhelming amount of info to get started. So I'm hoping to create a very structured, current "Introduction to Splinterlands and Hive" multi-day course which will help introduce concepts over multiple days and expand to introduce the broader Hive community and link to other high quality resources.

Hopefully, the more high quality resources we have available, it will help grow the network effects!

I completely agree with you @oaaguy that simplifying things is essential for new users to stay and participate on Hive, it is essential help new bloggers learn the necessary skills to blog on Hive. Also making it more fun for example like gamify the learning.

Regarding your question about migrating an existing blog to Hive, it is indeed possible to do so. There are a few ways to go about it, depending on the platform you're currently using. One option is to import your content using the SteemPress plugin, which can import posts from WordPress and other platforms.

SteemPress - a WordPress plugin that allows you to import your blog posts to the Hive blockchain.

Bringing over established blogs and audiences would undoubtedly help with growth, as you mentioned! :)

Project Summary:

Splinterlands & Hive: The Ultimate Introduction Course

The project aims to create a structured, multi-day course titled "Introduction to Splinterlands and Hive." The course is intended to help newcomers navigate Splinterlands, which is a major onramp to Hive, and learn about the broader Hive community. The course will cover essential concepts over multiple days and provide links to other high-quality resources. The goal is to make it easier for people to get started with Splinterlands and Hive by breaking down the overwhelming amount of information into manageable chunks.

Here are some ways to gamify and make the Splinterlands and Hive course more engaging and fun:

  • Create quizzes and challenges: After each day/module of the course, create quizzes and challenges that test the learners' knowledge of the concepts covered. You could use a leaderboard to show who's performing the best and offer prizes or rewards for top performers.
  • Encourage social interaction: Create a community around the course by setting up a Discord server or other chat platform where learners can interact with each other, ask questions, and share their progress. You could also create group challenges and activities that encourage collaboration and social interaction.
  • Use storytelling: Create a narrative around the course that makes it more engaging and memorable. For example, you could create a story about a group of adventurers who are exploring Splinterlands and learning about Hive along the way.
  • Offer rewards and incentives: Offer rewards and incentives for completing the course, such as digital badges, exclusive access to Splinterlands assets, or even cryptocurrency rewards. This could make the learning experience more motivating and engaging for learners.
  • Use game mechanics: Incorporate game mechanics like leveling up, unlocking achievements, and earning points into the course. This could make the learning experience feel more like a game and keep learners engaged and motivated to keep going.

Incorporating these gamification elements into the course can help make it more engaging, fun, and memorable for learners.
