It's quite nice to go properly through it to 100 014 HP and with the Hive Price on the uptrend too, nice way to celebrate for sure!
It's taken almost 6.5 years to get here, right from my first ever post back in August 2017: Introducing this thing I call myself.

For what it's worth...
- 46 for reputation, almost 80.
- 177 for HivePower... the higher up you go the harder it gets...
According to HiveStats I've earned a total of 85K HP, most of the excess is thanks to Hive Dapp tokens earned being sold back into Hive.
Hive has been a constant
To select a few milestones from over the years:
- My first > $100 payout post from @curie, which kept me going back in the day.
- My 'why I quit teaching' series from back in 2018, I can hardly believe looking back how different my life is now and how much has changed, mostly for the better.
- The Hive Fest posts - 2018 in Krakow, 2019 in Bangkok and then 2022 following two lockdown virtual events in Amsterdam. (Mexico was just too far!).
- The birth of Hive posts - back in March 2020
- The early Splinterlands posts - when I was accumulating in spring 2020, during lockdown, and lockdown I spent a lot of time on Hive...
- Moving to Portugal
- Moving back from Portugal....
- That crazy DEFI spring summer of 2021...
- And now back to what feels like some quieter more normal times, but that's what I want RN, a bit of grounding.
Through all this Hive has been a constant!
But a problem and a challenge...
I was intending to link the above posts but I can't link anything because I don't know how to find my old posts easily. I tried: searching using my name, peakd, post titles, all useless, Google doesn't throw up my posts, even though I've downloaded the exact copies using this Hive Post Downloader tool, even copying and pasting chunks of the actual text and exact titles, Google finds NOTHING for most posts, so I gave up... I did manage to find my first post, but that was it.
Peakd's internal search is also useless. I tried that too.
So there's a challenge for us all - I can testify to the fact that our content is INVISIBLE.... Not great for a social blockchain, but that's the reality... Google dislikes Hive content for some reason. How to make ourselves visible to Google is the challenge....?!?
NB this lack of search functionality has got A LOT WORSE. I was able to find pretty much anything I wanted a few years back, now nothing, my suspicion is that anything originating from Hive has been de-ranked deliberately and severely in Google Search.
And one final thing... the main website, hive.io could do with an update, it's looking a bit 2020s...
Maybe I'll put together a proposal to source someone to design us a better looking main page, probably be the best $10K or so we could spend! (Something more like Thorchain's website, it just looks so much more engaging!). Or maybe whoever's in charge of that main website could do me a big 100K celebration favour and just spend five minutes and switch it to 'dark mode'...?
What's next...
Well, 110K, then 120K, and so on and on, you gets the drift.

You can try this website to find your, or any of your post. It's the best site I've found so far. You need to enter your username in User drill down and it will give you a list of all your post. You can search further by keywords

Congrats on the 100K milestone. Its certainly a decent amount to be holding.
Trying to find older posts is an undertaken. If I remember my titles I sometimes go to google and search the title but also include my hive name and sometimes the words Hive Blockchain in the search. This has netted me the best results.

I know, searching on Hive is a pain. There is also the HiveSearcher but for me it hasn't performed any better for finding old posts. What saved me is making collections, where I still need to scroll back, but at least in one certain category, which makes it not so bad. But I agree, this just shows how invisible we actually are. Not good, but hopefully a point to improve on.
Ah yes, categories are good, I had just assumed that the downloader would have sorted me out, I'm VERY surprised that typing in chunks of actual text can't even find anything, Google must have BURIED Hive.
Hmmm... Sure, it's outrageous, but then again not that surprising. In fact, if it's really the case that Google buried Hive intentionally, it would only provide how formidable our Blockchain is.
I don't know if it's deliberate, it might just be that the domain's had so much bounce it's got buried because of that!
Congratulations on your achievement! The difficulties in finding our posts is a huge problem, generally Google hides a lot of things related to crypto, especially when it doesn't have a large reach, apparently it is characterized as risky traffic.
Many of the projects within Hive have done good work to improve in this sense, such as INLEO.
Posting with good quality and avoiding content spam also helps Hive rank better...

All of the blockchain's domain's just quite frankly suck via every metric they use for rankings and as they get free cash from the DHF for doing nothing, have no incentive to change.
Stop funding peakd via the DHF and encourage someone to launch a truly profitable tokenised publishing company using Hive as its base layer.
That BTC-HIVE pool on Cub is tasty.
I quite like PeakD personally, but yeah more front ends with better traffic would be a massive win!

There is a thing that allows quick searches of all content on hive: hivesql.
It's a private, for profite enterprise though and gets funded handsomely through DHF.
hive.io is basically raw condenser, and that has been worked on only sporadically and for quite the sum...
Last time I complained about that, I got a shitstorm.
