RE: Water In A Bucket

in #hivelast year

I've always had such a rough time on Steem/Hive mainly because my ADHD distracts me from spending more time on it than I should. It would also be nice if there were more users, but I can't control that. I appreciate your to-the-point take. I agree that a lot of people seem to have used Steem/Hive as a "get rich quick" scheme and don't do anything to stick around for the long-term. I'll be honest, I did that myself at the outset. Yes, my selling off of all my Steem helped me out at the time, but keeping it powered up and remaining active over the years would have been MUCH better in the long-term. Live and learn, I guess.

Did you really bother commenting that many words and then I check your wallet and you got 75 HP and all of it delegated away to a larger account?

It's like a practical joke right? This must be American humor! Glorious! I love it!
I'll give you an upvote for the entertainment value that has. 😂

Yep, I wrote that many words because I wanted to get involved in a discussion. I have it all delegated away because I'm not very active and I can at least get some Hive every day that I can power up daily. I didn't comment in hopes of an upvote.

I was trying to say that I've learned the error of my ways after selling off the 6k SP/HP I had in my account at the end of 2016, because I could have done more to help the platform/economy by holding onto it and using it.

Fair enough.
Nothing wrong with cashing out, when the price is right, but a more balanced approach (at leat keeping some and maybe buying back in at lower prices) would have really been better for everyone involved.
I even regret not cashing out more myself, during certain periods...
