My first experience buying HIVE on IONOMY

in #hive5 years ago

Today I decided to sell some Steem and buy Hive.
I took a small amount, only 153 Steem - I needed to check how it works and what ultimately comes out of it.
I checked my account on the Bittrex exchange and made sure that Steem and Hive wallets do not work - neither for input nor for output.

Finding a convenient exchange led me to IONOMY. Both Steem and Hive are traded on the exchange.

Registration took me 1 minute - it took a mail address and password.
The IONOMY website is simple and intuitive. 4 languages supported (English, Japanese, Chinese and Russian)

I placed an order to sell Steem for 2400 Satoshi. After about 30 minutes, the order worked and I got about 0.00348072 BTC for my 153 Steem.
The prices of both coins fluctuated greatly by that time, and assessing my chances, I placed an order to buy Hive for 2600 satoshi.
After about half an hour, and this order worked - I got my 135 Hive.

Here are all the operations on the exchange

Here is the summary

I repeat: I had no desire to conduct an extremely profitable exchange, it was a test.

For 153 Steem I got 135 Hive. If you take into account the number of coins, then I lost about 10-11% of the coins, but if we consider the value of the coins, I think I won. In any case, we need time to evaluate actions;)

What do you think: was it a profitable exchange? Your opinion is important both for me and for anyone reading this blog. Feel free to comment.

Hey man, thanks for sharing! I was hesitant of using Ionimy as I imagine there is pretty low liquidity, however 30 minutes isn't all that bad. I might look into it, and between you and me, they seem like a good exchange, so in the future if they keep up the good work, they might become the new Binance. Everyone has to start somewhere... :)

I myself liked it - especially since there is no special choice now. I heard on Tuesday, whales will sell their Steem - so maybe it's still a good price to sell. Pleased to meet you.

We'll see, not much we can do about it. Powering down really is a bitch. I started back in February and I'm only half way through it right now :)

I started 4 days ago) and I'm afraid that I will not have time to sell at a tasty price.

Currently the price is fluctuating allot so there's room for traders to make out like bandits. I haven't sold/traded etiher STEEM or HIVE yet and am patiently waiting on the side lines.
