In my opinion, we need to get the community interacting on the chain 95%+ of the time. Discord is great and certainly part of the community, but for new people it is an “out of sight out of mind” kind of thing. It is not easy to see how large the community is because people are on discord. If we can bring all that activity on chain, it will help bring in more people, which will bring in fresh money, which will give us momentum.
Was @andrarchy working on a solution to bringing chat like functions to the chain?
you are exactly right and I hated this on steemit. I preached it but nobody cared. Why on earth would you send people away from steemit to talk about steemit. Facebook did everything they could to keep people from leaving facebook to to get information. Let's make sure we hang out on hive for everything.
There should just be a daily hangout community where each day there is a post and people participate in the comments section like they would on discord. Or there could be several posts with topics. The idea would be to stay on chain.
