Why Hive Is The Opportunity Of The Year!

in #hive5 years ago (edited)

Dear Hivers,

Did you know the year 1992 was one of the worst for Britain?

Here’s what happened:

To make the pound attractive to the teenagers, the government increased the interest rates. And this is where George Soros (an investor) decided to short the currency.

The end result?

He made a billion dollar out of it!

That’s right — a billion. Crazy, isn’t it? Here’s a snippet from Wikipedia:

Mr. Soros literally broke the bank.

And why is this important?

You see, given the current pandemic virus, extreme panic within people, and the stress of the future — we must also see the other side.

This other side is filled with opportunity seekers.

In times of fear, they see opportunity.

They are not just in Britain. In fact, they are among us — and around us. These are people who — in dirt — find gold.

Because talking about Hive — and its meaning — @tarazkp chose one simple yet incredibly powerful word: Opportunity.

He further goes onto explain:

We have the opportunity to take the vast pool of experience and use it to build something that brings value to the masses that have previously been left out of the economic model.

To put it simply:

Through Hive, we have an opportunity to add value.

We are literally sitting on this gold!

Plus, this is not something groundbreaking. Anywhere we see something new? We observe opportunities.

Here are a couple of examples from my earlier post:

The best part? This was before the cryptocurrency boom.

They saw the opportunity and said YES to it.

And so if you are like them? If you are active on Hive? Here are a couple of important things you can do to grab the opportunity:

To make this possible:

Research.

You see, research is the key to unlock good content. You can take any post on Hive as an example.

You can even take this post.

I could have shared the message right away.

Yet I chose to talk about George Soros — and his billion dollar moment.

The key is to share something new and valuable with your readers — and that's only possible through research.

And with this, you move onto the next step:

Hive, unlike blogging, isn’t just about publishing content.

It is also about engaging with people.

Together when we interact and connect?

We are stronger.

In fact, when it comes to engaging, @Acidyo nailed it:

The key: Engage with consistency so people remember you.

And finally, combine this with the last tip:

When @pfunk said I missed out on fun, I realized there are two kinds of fun:

  • Good fun
  • Bad fun

It appears the secret to a good life is to have ANY kind of FUN!

After all, what is life if we don’t enjoy what we are doing?

Personally, I find it fun to be here — on Discord, Twitter, and Telegram.

As long as we enjoy it, good things happen, isn't it?

With the right mindset, we see how uncertain times can lead to miracles and unseen problems lead to victory.

They show us unfound opportunities.

The trick is to grab them.

Just like George Soros.

And for us? It is right here.

Let us continue writing good content, engage from our heart, and really have FUN in this journey.

If you found this post helpful, let me know. We are in this together. I just started Hiving (after a 3 years break) and I would love to connect with each one of you.

Let's engage!

Cheers,
Sid
