RE: Time for a HIVE break + powerdown.

in #hive4 years ago

themarkymark is blocktrades (Dan Notestein) is buildawhale is upmyvote is pancakes is popcornexpress is stemgeeks is aicurator is darthknight is other accounts still.
usainvote may be his account too.
He tries to disguise his full control over the reward pool.
Instead of using only 2-3 accounts, self vote 100% with each, he self votes with less than 100% using more accounts so it disguises his self votes.
It also gives him plausible deniability in regards to downvotes.
Not only did he mined millions of STEEM via POW, similar to Bitcoin when it was done by PC CPUs, but he also ran accounts such as aicurator (can see for yourself what he did with it), mined via magicdice (can see for yourself how it was used), has been mining, and still via producer rewards, which he alone decides on their identity and therefore occupies at least 2 out of the top 20 (can see for yourself how big accounts' votes is cast) and in the last 2 years has also been mining via "proposal funding", which he allowed back in the days when he still controlled STEEM.
HIVE is more centralized than STEEM, the difference is in the owners' identity.
STEEM is Justin Sun's, whereas HIVE is Dan Notestein's.
Notestein, just like with his ripoff exchange, has been milking every sort of possible reward for himself, leaving some to his puppets and less for gullible dummies whom bought into his scheme.

Selling your stake in his scheme is what I would have advised, and it would have been better if you did not waste your voting manas leaving any of them idle at 100%.
At least downvote his blog posts and comments while powering down.
He rarely ever combated the real big abusers, because he has always been one of them, and in the rare occasions when he did, he only did so in order to be perceived as an antagonist to abuse.

Sort:

I don't think that themarkymark/buildawhale and blocktrades/darthknight are the same person.

HIVE is more centralized than STEEM ...

I don't think it's more centralized than STEEM, but right, is is rather centralized (which I myself described here).

At least downvote his blog posts and comments while powering down.

It doesn't have any real positive/useful effect to leave even more 'scorched earth' behind while going ahead.

I feel more sad than angry, considering the potential of HIVE with its technology and interesting dapps on the one hand combined with greed, an astonishing lack of communication and interpersonal skills on the other hand, but already decided to move on.

I'll be sad to see you go man. We spoke several times at 2 Steemfests and I made a connection with you. It touched me that you and your wife talked to my wife in Krakow, her knowing nobody. Know that you have friends here, and don't listen to this twat (@slowgrow) feeding you poison who has been mindlessly systematically flagging several of us for years..., yes years on day 6. Talk about bearing a grudge.

It is no longer an official bidbot, so guess why it is still delegated by blocktrades.

themarkymark pays for the delegation ...

But yes, most topwitnesses are very close to each other, delegate HP to anonymous accounts, lend each other their posting keys (for example to disguise who is behind a flag), are able to put accounts on blacklists instantly, even if their names aren't officially connected to these lists.

Concerning STEEM you either have to beg @steemcurator01 for an upvote (after participating in any of these many competitions) or be Korean. ;-) There aren't the original communities anymore where normal users supported each other.

Anyway, enough said, isn't it? I didn't like when HIVE witnesses were posting and farming on STEEM after they had left, and now I also don't intend to discuss about HIVE all the way after I left.

Yo why you still downvoting SFR users? Is this about Marky or what?

If so, don't have shit to do w me us so would appreciate you lay off. Thanks!

Do you even need to ask that question?
