I have posted before about buying books by members of this community. This week I added a couple more.
You can see books by (going clockwise from top left) @arseniclullaby. @jrej, @katharsisdrill, @kommienezuspadt, @sidekickmatt, @drwatson. The latest additions are The City Under The Snow by @paolobeneforti illustrated by him and @silviabeneforti plus Running For My Life by @dragosroua. I put the latter on my Amazon wish list ages ago, but I do not order often from there. I got the two to save on postage. As with a couple of others I believe these are printed on demand in whatever country you order from. A few of these people have been less active lately, but I hope to see them return.
Paolo's book is short, but delightful. It is set in a dream where everything seems to have been buried under deep snow. The two artists have distinct styles.
I met them both in Lisbon at SF2 and they are both still very active on Hive producing wonderful art that brightens my day. I do have plans to buy some original pieces from them at some point. I am fortunate to be able to afford to support some artists, but any of us can do that on Hive by voting up their posts. I find it better for that than sites like Patreon where you have to commit to spending your money, possibly each month. Ideally I would like to be spending $HIVE to buy the physical items, but that is not always possible. Some of these have come via Kickstarter.
Also on Kickstarter I bought Drawn To Key West by @la-fumettista who is the illustrator of the Ithaqa comic written by @drwatson. I just got the PDF comic which I have yet to read. I did read all the Ithaqa comics that have come out so far recently after getting all the digital versions. I should be getting printed copies soon. I have been listed as a backer in the first issue of that and in some of the others.
I also have some physical records by Hivers.
So does anyone have a bigger Hive library than this? Not that it is a competition. I just want to see people supporting artists so that they can keep on entertaining us. Some will be offering downloads for supporters, some in the form of NFTs.
Hive five!
That's a nice collection there man, I don't know if anyone does have a larger collection in their Hive library, but you're right, supporting artists here on Hive is important, I remember a post of yours a while ago when you had just gotten a comic book/ picture book created by a Hivian, if I'm not mistaken it might have been Java Jaguar.
I agree, being able to support artists here with our votes is great, and it's better than spending a set amount out of our bank accounts each month; then I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if there was a Patreon kind of thing here on Hive, where we could set up some monthly transactions instead of using Patreon or other things like it, I know our votes can essentially do that, and we can send Hive regardless of whether there is an app or not to do that, but it could be kind of cool to have something like that here.
You can already set up recurring payments on Hive. I don't know how many people use that facility. My vote is over a dollar, so if someone is posting regularly then they may be getting a fair amount from me. There are plenty of musicians and others I'd love to see here so I can donate to them that way too. Of course most people have a much smaller vote, but if you have hundreds of fans then it adds up.

.Nice, check one of my brother's books, @pvmihalache on Hive, he is a referee so, heck, English football:

My books are a bit boring, being about health and how to live longer, better and such. No need to buy them. I got some extra copies for fans, I may bring some to gift on our next Hive meeting.
I'm not really a footie fan, but there are plenty on Hive. I need to buy less whilst I catch up on my reading. I will tend to buy those that match my interests, but it's great to see so many creative people here.

.I like the idea of the hive library or anything where physical items meet the digital domain of the web.
I have 3. Two by members of the freewriters group and the latest epic by @vincentnijman, Hypersensitivosaurus and Cold Turkey.
That's cool. I think there are a lot more than I have. I do like comics.

.I have three I think! Not anywhere near as many as you. It is good to support others here. Another benefit of the place!!
I'm old fashioned enough to want some physical items. This digital stuff may just be a fad!
Thank you for mentioning my book, really appreciate it!
I just need to find time to read it. I'll do a review when I do.

.You should check out @ericvancewalton, he is an author with some books available on Amazon. I bought two of them. He is active on here too, so I am sure you could hook up with him here if necessary.
I may have met him. I'm not looking to get everything put out by Givers, but I'm finding lots that I like.
Very cool. He is a great guy. One of the few I'd like to meet in person some day. Like you and Slobber.
Only one for me by @ericvancewalton, but I need to get some more. I've also been thinking about authoring my own book too.
Personally, I've always preferred books in their hard covers and what's even better is that these books are produced by members of this family called Hive.
I don't have access to these books but you're right when you say that the best way to show our support is by upvoting and even though in the grand scheme of things, my votes are not much, I'm willing to show my support in anyway. Cheers to you all!🌺
It's great the way we see you've bought these books, it's great the person who wrote them feels great because he's worked so hard. I will also try to buy and read them in the near future.
Great initiative to support Hive artists and writers. I have compiled some of my philosophy posts into a collection which could be a book, though it's not creative fiction.
I do also have some short stories here on Hive too, some over about ten posts or chapters, which could all be compiled into a book.
Hive library, that sounds a really great idea
hi brother,i like presentation and your books, books are easy things to make us calmer, thankyou you share story here, nice to meet you
