Got that Friday feeling? It is the end of the working week for many of us and also when I do #FollowFriday most weeks. It is my opportunity to share some thoughts on what has been happening around #Hive and to suggest some people to check out.
This week saw $Hive stay relatively high. Mind you, I just looked and there is a lot of red on @coingecko. I keep hoping we can get enough buzz going about Hive (need more bee analogies) to get more people interested in investing and getting involved.
launching CUB. A lot of this financial stuff goes over my head and there is a lot of use of buzzwords that may not mean much to many of us, but it seems to have people excited.The big news this week was @leofinance
here as they will expire in a few days. Then you can stake them here to earn something. I have made 0.033 CUB in just a few hours via this 'den'. The APR seems crazy, but I will take what I can get. Ervin helped me out with some BNB as you need that to pay for transactions. I assume we can buy it somewhere.I saw that I had been allocated some CUB on Hive Engine. I had some help from @bozz and @ervin-lemark to work out what to do with it. You have to create an appropriate wallet and convert the tokens
I recommend reading the document and to check out what people are posting about it. There ought to be a checklist of what you need to do and a glossary of what the various terms mean.
So to the 'meat' of #FollowFriday. I have not seen anyone else do these posts lately. If you do then let me know so I can vote and share them.
- @amy-explores is an British urban explorer brought here by @slobberchops. It can be tough for new people to get into how Hive works and a lot of work for their 'mentors'. We should do what we can to help the newbies as they may struggle and make some mistakes.

- @the-bitcoin-dood is the one responsible for me being here, so he deserves a follow, especially if you like cryptocurrency news. He is also into his music.

Sounds like you had a similar experience to mine with CUB. I was going to sell mine until @flauwy encouraged me to stake it in the den and gave me some BNB so I could do so. Sooooo kind. My plan is to compound it on Sunday, assuming I've made enough to cover the fees. 😁

I think you can find plenty around your interests. It's important to do what is fun rather than just trying to get votes if you plan to stick around.
BTW I'm @steevc which is intentionally mis-spelled.
I put all my little Cubs into the same Cub Deb (10X) ... I have no idea what the 10x means exactly. I have about 30 in there earning me about 1 Cub per day ( not 10X 30 = 300 ?) ... but will be less as the APR drops. ... I have no idea what the difference is between Compound and Harvest ... at 1st I clicked Compound , paid some more BNB, approved ... and nothing happened. Could not find an explanation anywhere .... so after 2 Cub collected I clicked Harvest ... the 2 Cub disappeared ... then I found them when I clicked the + button and I added them to my staked Cubs .... and paid a bunch more BNB with every action. It’s not very intuitive, and nobody can really explain how the Compound feature works ... not sure if I click “Compound” once and forget about it or every day or when ??? But no matter what I click I need to feed the Cub a bunch of BNB... they are hungry little buggers.
I think I'm in the same one. The compound adds what you have earned to your stake instead of taking it out. It seems everything uses up BNB, so I will need more of that.
I’m spending hundreds of BNB I think... better start tracking my expenses.
I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. Sometimes I feel like a dinasour here.
I've seen a lot of people talk about this CUB thing this week, better I better go and check my Hive Engine wallet now, not that I know what to do with them..... 🏃
I see you don't have much LEO, so you won't get that much CUB. I think people will buy them if you can't be bothered with all the hassle. It's a good thing there are so many helpful people around here or I would have given up.
