We have some criteria for who gets votes. You need to be commenting fairly often and getting some comments on your posts. You should not be powering down as that will mean your HP goes down. Some people were just dropped from the list for this reason.
Your success really is up to you. Once you reach minnow the votes are likely to stop from this account and those who follow its train. You need to build a following by engaging with others. You need to find the community of those who share your interests. Make it fun for yourself.
Hive is not a guarantee of rewards, but everyone has the potential to earn.
How often do you check the list to make sure people don't go rogue?
I have a look every month or two as things don't change too quickly. I get that people have different needs and am not really out to judge them.
