Previously we have been doing weekly post prompts.
The idea is that I would make a post prompt. People would answer as they saw fit. At the end of the week everyone who participated would get some GLD token for their efforts.
Going forward that is going to change a little bit. There will be post prompts added often (every week or two) but the post prompts will carry on until I specify that they are "finished".
Delegating to Curators
I'm going to call in the regular crew for this one :
@jjmusa2004
@rare-gem
@monica-ene
@supernova004
@emreal
@lightpen
@jmis101
@henrietta27
and @johnny023
But I'll also be asking for the help of @dlmmqb because he is "in the know" when it comes to delegating to curators as he is part of the #HivePakistan group whose curation has been a great help to this community.
At this moment I delegate to a few curators. @hivepakistan, @leo.voter, and @ua-promoter but who should this channel be delegating to in the future?
Focus on one or many?
For loyalty and to say Thank You the obvious choice is to delegate to @hivepakistan and while I'm in charge I will always be delegating a portion of my HP to them.
But should I delegate everything to them? The return from @hivepakistan isn't as high as @leo.voter or even @ua-promoter. Yes, their curation helps the posters in this community to get better rewards (roughly equal to 1HP for every upvote) but I can't curate my own posts so I get more "return" to put into the community coffers by delegating elsewhere.
Right now its not a huge issue as I only have about 1800HP to delegate however, I'm looking to increase that to 10,000HP and while that might not be whale amount -- it is something I'd like to get a good return from.
The ongoing mission
Feel free to write a post about delegating HP. Give thoughts on delegating vs manual curating. Or perhaps even talk about making a curation trail.
Don't feel like making a full post? No problem. I'll happily accept responses to this post providing they are detailed and hopefully give me curators to consider delegating to.
Thanks everyone and lets get the conversation rolling.
NOTE: Everyone who provides useful information either as a response to this post or as a post in the community or as a cross post from another community will be eligible to get GLD tokens for their participation.
ALSO: Not just this week but on an ongoing basis. So if you happen across a worthy curation cause in a few weeks or months from now...let me know and it should be rewarded. Extra credit if you can tell me about typical rate of return or possible good causes it can support!
Thanks everyone!
Hi @terganftp! Let's discuss this in detail after January 24th (exam time). You're permitted to curate either 2 posts at 60% upvote or 4 posts at 30% upvote daily, whether or not you delegate to HivePakistan.
The choice of 2 at 60% is based on the principle that less is more, ensuring curators read and curate organically. HivePakistan supports the communities (2 that I recall) you initiated, additionally Momogrow's Neoxianprompts.
Your curators can also access the same curation authority from HivePakistan, limited to 2-3 curators per community (expandable as HP grows). Using the /vp command, if the available voting mana is above 90%, curators can exceed the discussed curations. This support from HivePakistan remains unchanged, whether you delegate or not.
We charge a 10% fee from curation rewards, with 5% compounding in the "hpk-x" account, then delegated to HivePakistan, ensuring our active HP continually increases. Currently, HivePakistan has 2.8k HP/Hive (profits) of its own.
In the future, I hope to either allow more curators or increase the vote value, as long as curations remain organic and free from vote buying.
I can certainly wait until after Jan 24th :)
I am aware of the 2 posts at 60%. However, I'm going to move the community away from trying to get more members and more posts and instead have a few members who all work together towards a few great posts and real world stuff.
If I have 7 posts in a week its been a busy week in the community :)
Regardless once @hiveabbyftp have 10K HP I'll either need to curate my 20/day or delegate. I know I'll never find 20 posts I want to curate daily and even if I did 10K isn't enough to make a decent curation so delegation it is.
The question is: Who are the best curators to delegate to? @hivepakistan is awesome (thank you) and @leo.voter is solid. But who else out there is worthy of delegation?
Well I think I did both,I love to curate manually wishing to give extra rewards to some exceptional post flying around that's why making a total delegation to curation trail was a no for me. But as regards the question you ask, I will also check and get some feedback.
I understand your idea. Sometimes its nice to have enough HP that you can make an upvote that counts.
I've decided that if I get more rewards I can just use the "tip" function instead and spread a little love to well deserving posts that way :)
Somehow I think it is an under used function on Hive :)
Yay! 🤗
Your content has been boosted with Ecency Points, by @bhattg.

Good one here @terganftp, I thought a prompt for the week had been released already, with this making it two I guess or am I mistaken?
Weekly posts have been replaced with ongoing posts. I'll just be releasing the ongoing posts bit by bit. So, the main topics are going to be "Money Tree--How to grow your Hive stash and get income from it. The first installment being where to delegate HP". "Minimum acceptable lifestyle--What things are necessary for a decent life and what things are luxuries". "Minimum acceptable budget/pay--how much does everything that you need actually cost and how much do you need monthly to maintain a reasonable lifestyle". "Minimum acceptable diet--What is the least expensive way to get an acceptable diet".
My goal is an ongoing conversation on all these topics. Rather than just talking about something for a week.
Also, rewards will be distributed weekly for anyone who wants to join in the discussion and provide useful feedback or information on any of the above topics.
Sometimes I think that we are connected somehow lol ! I made this reflection not long ago not by posting but through DMs in discord and a twitter post ~~~ embed:1743750522077876438?s=46&t=Mc52op8lQDkitjg0xi4w7A”. twitter metadata:Z2FicmllbHdham5iZXJnfHxodHRwczovL3R3aXR0ZXIuY29tL2dhYnJpZWx3YWpuYmVyZy9zdGF0dXMvMTc0Mzc1MDUyMjA3Nzg3NjQzOHw= ~~~
So in summary there are communities that give you better returns like ecency, ocdb or leovoter(? Not sure about this one) . But we need to think why to delegate HP do you want only to get a better apr? Or do you want to make a difference? Communities like hivepakistan tives you some hive back , not as much as ecency but they are small and need help to curate their community , I can cite other small communities that need some attention there are lots; ladies on hive also is small, hivebr , and etc …
Another thing to think about it is the portion of your hp that u want to delegate … the more you delegate less vote power you have… do you want to be an active curator voting in posts? If yes I recommend delegating a maximum between 20-30% of your hp. I was “overdelegating” and losing a lot my vote power … I preferred do shrink my delegations… well hopefully my opinion gives you some light somehow! Maybe we can start a canadian community I know a couple of more canucks that are around!

My focus is on developing the #earn spend give community and starting a Permaculture project (real life) in Nigeria with the help of the crew here. Getting steady income from Hive is certainly part of the plan as is giving back to Hive once we can the farm up and running.
A list of worthy projects to delegate to would be great. I noticed @hivecuba and @hive-br.voter from your twitter post. I can delegate to Actifit but their returns are pretty bad.
In the end there is best return in coin VS best return in community growth and I think I'll have to do a mix of both.
Ideally I'm going to post a list of all the voter accounts I can delegate to in a pinned post in the community. In that way anyone who looks at the #earn spend give community can get an idea of different groups out there.
I actually delegate out 95% of my HP. I give 100% upvotes to comments and posts I like but I really don't read enough to get my 20/day :) One time I delegated so much I couldn't post....that was a mistake hehe.
As an FYI your response makes you a contributor and expect some GLD tokens to come your way at the end of the week. Typically I mention GLD holders when I do my coin and community updates. If you don't want to be tagged just let me know.
Include me :)
Consider yourself a new member of the EarnSpendGive community :)
...
well after you get your GLD tokens at the end of the week :)
I'm delegating to @zingtoken and a few other people I know who can upvote people who are making a difference.
I have 20 HBD liquid to give to various people.
I haven't heard of @zingtoken . Are they associated with a particular community?
Thanks for the information, I'll research further.
It's to do with an upcoming game called holozing. It looks like it will be a decent project.
Ah, I've seen a few posts about holozing. Thanks.
