Having built multiple projects over 7+ years on Hive, I’ve grown used to receiving criticism on pretty much everything I do here at this point. Criticism comes in different flavors, though. Some people don’t understand why I’d ever use another blockchain besides Hive (which I’m always happy to explain), some dislike the fact that it "costs" to transact (like claiming the airdrop), and others love me so much they follow every post and comment I make. 😉
Overall, I’m quite happy with the resonance so far. The player base has grown significantly over the past few days, and people seem to be having fun—which is what matters most. There are more updates coming soon, and I’m not planning to stay within the limitations of "just being a Web3 game."
Fun fact: Did you know that “Ethereum” originally came from a concept within World of Warcraft? That might give you a hint about my ambitions and why Ethgard
isn’t just a nod to Web3’s Ethereum. 🙂
