Dear @resonator, the thoughts you shared in this post are quite valid. Understanding these value propositions are what will help onboard a user. Why many find it hard to join Hive is the failure to understand that Hive suits the diversity needs of people and has different solutions for different people.
I've personally helped to onboard users on the following selling points:
- Proof of Brain (Get paid to post on social media!)
- Trustless & Transparent Networking
- Community Building
- A Framework for Creativity & Project Development
A good proportion of these users have been onboarded on the standpoint of Proof of Brain. With respect to my country Nigeria with high unemployment rate, my take has always been that anyone who can read/write can actually maximize dapps on Hive to make a living. Many have settled here and have been creating contents here on a full-term basis.
I think there is pone aspect you missed out as one of the selling points for Hive - The Investors' Guild.
Everyone that is interested in using his money to make more money can do so mon Hive. With the several earning options we have (curation rewards, staking rewards, Liquidity rewards for emerging DeFi pools, gaming rewards, NFT markets and more), anyone looking for a place to invest his money profitably can do so on the Hive blockchain.
