It's probably something that someone else could propose. I think we should hold a HWF (Hive Wealth Fund) for the Hive blockchain. We would invest in multiple asset classes, like precious metals, cryptocurrency, stocks and maybe even property. It should be set up as a DAO that the Hive blockchain collectively owns. You would essentially turn Hive into an ETF as well that grows in value over time because something is actually backing it.
Honestly I think this is something that @aggroed and the Hive-engine team could pull off if it was done, given they would know much more about the legal framework of it.
Good idea. A multi-asset fund that runs as a smart contract on the chain sounds cool.

SPInvest is already laying the foundation for that. It is a token that represents a holding in the investment club. The token is backed by, thus far, STEEM, HIVE, LEO, NEO, BTC, and gold.

I like the idea it's just that this could be done at a much larger scale if all of Hive was behind it. I'm talking about increasing Hive's own value in particular. It would also bring more people in, knowing the content had greater monetization. Larger Hive value means larger HBD rewards.
