Unbelievable. You have some twisted ideas on what it means to contribute and value community and comments.
I would have you know... I value ALL comments. People take time out of their day to write intelligent responses to posts... and I acknowledge them the same way I do in person. With 100% of my attention.
I live by a mantra... heck yes... and heck no. If I agree or like what a post or comment brings to the community... as an owner I have every right to upvote a comment the way I see fit.
Each comment represents time and brain juice and should therefore be respected as if someone was pausing their day to talk to you.
In fact...
I would go so far as to say that comments are what show that people care. If they are not valued then it won’t be long before what makes this a real exchange of value is marginalized for what it brings.
Zero comments equals zero community.
I have significant Hive Power... and I continue to spend my hard won Bitcoin... to buy Hive and build here on the blockchain... and that is going to continue.
As well... I like to take time to rank and value comments in posts I read. Yes! I read comments! AND I Upvote the ones I like the best! That is exactly why that is a function on the comments section of a post.
I’ll also rank own comments from time to time as I do put significant effort into thinking carefully and responding with 100% effort.
When there are 100’s of comments it is possible to move your comment up the ranking so as to increase visibility. And if that option exists I use it for that reason. (Not for farming... I’m not that cheap! Hahaha! That’s so insulting actually! 😐)
Obscurely is the enemy on all social networks... that is why it is possible to upvote your comment and other people’s comments that are valuable.
I am even considering putting together a special event to celebrate comments on the Hive Blockchain... and I am continually investing (social capital matters) in the individuals on Hive one #HighFive at a time. That means I send people 5 Hive all the time... if you need confirmation you can check my transaction logs. I have been giving away Hive for over 2 years now.
What does your transaction log look like? Are you investing into the community of people in positive and healthy ways?
