RE: 1826 Days Journey towards 50k Hivers

in #hive54 years ago

Sorry man but that is way too unambitious. If we can’t reach 50,000 by next year we won’t survive. There is no reason we shouldn’t be able to either.

I don’t think we need to become as big as Facebook or twitter but we need growth soon because there is only so much good development can bring when we don’t even have the members to fill our communities

Sort:

We’ll grow exponentially from this year.

Even though I mentioned the numbers, I’m chasing real longterm people and valuable projects.

I believe in compound interest and Network effects. Our collective efforts already opening door to work with different other crypto projects.

Charles Hoskinson from Cardano wants to talk to our community for collaboration.

Our collective efforts on Twitter is going to bring HUGE value to our HIVE.

We’re only one partnership away from exponential growth.

I haven’t heard about Hoskinson, wow.

The main problem I see is that we used up a lot of the excitement of crypto on steem and then the bidbots scared everyone off. Now we have a lot more competition, and even if it’s not as impressive, it dilutes the attention we could be getting, which is why I feel we really need to step ahead. Libry steem and voice don’t have anything on us but they seem to be getting the same amount of attention. I wish we could utilize our devoted user base which is hardcore awesome right now to reach more people

I think spending more time on traditional platform, not for the soul purpose of bringing people onboard but always with an eye out and a plan to bring people on board is how we bring people. We should all be supporting each other on other platforms besides hive. Twitter seems to be the one place we do alright but we also seem to be in a closed circuit where we don’t reach too many outside of our Hive circle. Myself as well, over half of my friends there are from Hive

I love competition.

After Bitcoin, many people created so many p2p money and most of them failed and some solved different problem and thrived. HIVE always have first mover advantage in Web 3.0 Social media platforms.

I believe if our closed circle is Twitter has 1000 True HIVE people and then takes

x number of days to 2000
x number of days to 4000
x number of days to 8000
x number of days to 16000
x number of days to 32000
x number of days to 64000
x number of days to 128000

It's called Network effects

Competition is fine for us once we get a footing but a few thousand people is a danger zone. Plus traditional social media is going to catch up sooner or later and start stealing ideas. I’m sure they have it all planned out and just haven’t moved because they’re trying to time it.

I am glad you are positive. I am too. I just think we need to be a bit smarter about where we put our efforts and how we talk to people about hive. Network effect will work eventually but we have been messing around for too long, we need a win.

Would love to discuss with more.

Let's do a Five5 conversation soon.

What's your Twitter username ?

Do you have a proposal about how you could help?

I’ve written about it a lot. I’m running hive cross culture which is a comfortable place for anyone living overseas, studying a language or interested in culture.

I also am trying to grow an audience outside Hive so I can bring them on board

That sounds great. What is hive cross culture? do you have a link?
