Shame it's not on Linux. My rarely used Win10 install will get some use for this.
Desktop version seems to be only for Windows Store and Steam but your virtual machine set up should do. @guiltyparties has only Linux too.
I have a dual-boot system. The PC is nothing special, but seems to handle the graphics okay. I just can't justify a VR headset just for this event.
You don't need to use VR set. The Steam app has 2 options to enter. With and without VR set. I have no VR set yet neither. And it worked well and was fun.
I don't think there is a Linux option, but there is a Windows, Mac, and Oculus.
I wonder if the oculus version is running some linux port under the hood?
The Oculus is Android. So in some way it is.
