Day 3 of me commuting to Amsterdam for more meet-ups with Hive Friends. I just got on my tram to the train station, and the Dutch people who got in with me sighed: “Wat een weer joh!”, meaning ‘whoa, this weather!’, yes, even for us Dutchies this kind of rain is a bit much.
But alas - I’ve heard rumours of next years target dor HiveFest and the weather might be 1000% better, so it all evens out in the end :-)
Tonight is the closing dinner and the closing drinks. It’s always sad when events like this end but I know from past experience we’ll all be smiling for weeks and months to come about the memories we made <3
The location we’ll meet in the next few hours is coincidentally one me and my mom were wondering about when we sat there after a walk through the city. It looked fun, it helped that it was a sunny day, but when I looked it up it appeared to be a rowing organisation so we didn’t feel like we would be welcome there as non-members. And now we’ll have our HiveFest dinner there? Love how life plays out sometimes :-)
Will post some photos and reflections after tonight - for now the challenge is to get at the dinner relatively dry and enjoy the last few moments with my Hive Friends.
See you there! Hopefully I won't get too wet on the way ;)
Hahaha! Keep an eye out for the puddles! See you in a bit :-)))
Getting ready for the dinner! Just showered and already dressed up! See you in couple of minutes. Thankfully I'm not a Gremlin Ahahaha
Yeah! It was so nice to dance last night! :D Writing a post about everything now but I'm getting very very tired so will probably finish it tomorrow :D
Oh girl it was an awesome experience and I'm happy to get to know you :) enjoy your last night and please greet the people from the green-guy :) looking forward for your upcoming posts and please tell us how the food has been in that location and how kind the people are thihi
Loved loved loved it @tibfox! The green guy made a great visual impression on me :D Loved your outfit! Food and people ofcourse were amazing, will probably finish a post tomorrow, I'm soooo tired... Zzz.
Tjonge jonge hivefest gemist. Ik had ook een heel verhaal te vertellen en een kans om iedereen weer te zien maar goed. Ik kom terug in mijn eigen tijd.
Voor alles is een tijd! :-)
It was pretty rainy wasn't it. And that's coming from an English person!
Lovely to meet you and chat with you at HiveFest, even if the conclusion was that Britain is sinking into the sea!
It was terribly rainy, haha. Will post some sunny posts coming week just to prove we can have sun too :')
It was great to chat and drink a beer with you @tdctunes! You're a great and creative musician and I'm glad you could handle the teasing, I just tease because I'm so sad you guys aren't part of 'the' club anymore, my way of mourning I guess :-)
Hope to see you either before or at the next HiveFest again!
The UK:
Still a quite positive portrayal of the UK right now, but yeah, that's very close :D
