Its been a while I hadn't shared the review of any restaurant since Ramadan. The last day, I have no mood to cook anything at home so we went outside for trying out Korean street food. One of an Instagram influencers mentioned about the Corny Bites restaurant in her post where she mentioned about this new restaurant recent opening in our area which is only for takeaways so we had to eat inside car.
I though why not trying out something new this time. This was the first time that I tried any Korean food even I myself wanted to try out these Korean food at home but I don't get specific ingredients here. I will look for other options soon if I couldn't find on time.
Well, the first impression was awful as the location was too bad. It was located on PSO pump where already a huge crowd was waiting and rest of vehicles was standing there. The location wasn't up to the mark but the food we tasted was just amazing and scrumptious.
Okay, you can see the following menu from there which shows the available items to buy. We purchased 2 Kimchi Rice bowls and 1 Flaming firedog.
From the above menu, we ordered the following items as you can see in the below image.
The Sun was about to set that's why all of the pictures are not bright to the eyes. Hope you are understanding what I am saying. This is the Flaming Firedog which was served with thousand Island sauce. The weird thing was they were charging for sauce separately.
But the flaming firedog was too good. It was delectable because it was filled with cheese from inside. Loved to eat such cheesy stuff but I just tasted by taking one bite only. The rest of eaten by my hubby.
This is what it looks from inside. So cheesy and flavourful. Loved the Korean street food in Pakistan.
Kimchi Rice was also too good but I found Cabbage more than mince. I can understand they are making it cost-effective and wanted to earn more profit than they deserved. More cabbage could change the taste. Typically, the Kimchi Rice served with sunny side egg on top of the bowl but they didn't serve. Don't know why...
Final Thoughts:
Overall Corny Bites meet the expectations but they need to serve what they promise or what they are showing to the customers. Here I'm only talking about the sunny-side egg on top of Kimchi rice that's how the final dish served. Well, I'm happy that we are having Korean food near us.
