Just a quick post

Hey everyone. I haven't really posted here on Hive in awhile so I thought I would just knock one out to let you all know what's been going on with me.

As far as my presence on Hive, it has been through live streaming on @vimm. Since, sadly , they have had to stop operations, I haven't streamed since. I have accounts at other streaming platforms, but I'm just not feeling it. Vimm was my steady go to. When all the Dlive drama started, Vimm emerged and through the hostile takeover they , stayed loyal to our chain. In a perfect world such loyalty should be rewarded, but unfortunately that's not the case.

I am feeling a bit salty about Vimm's closing though. I see many content creators and communities, here on Hive, espousing the virtues of Hive and yet live stream their content or events on other platforms. Yeah I get the argument that they need to go elsewhere to attract new users, but it wouldn't have been much trouble to stream once in awhile or set up a multi-stream to Vimm. But that wasn't the case. Vimm had a damn good run. I believe close to 6 years! From Steem to Hive, they were there. Now that they have closed, I have to decide what my future is going to be.

As far as live streaming, I will be doing that to You Tube. The reason for that is just ease of use. I've looked at other platforms but YouTube is what works for me personally. YouTube's player embeds into most of the Hive frontends. Most other streaming platform's players are not visible on Hive's various frontends, so for that main reason is why I have decided on Youtube. And also they keep a replay of your past stream and it is still playable from the original post.

Well that is all I got for now. Sorry for the lack of quality in my writing as I just wrote this on a whim and just knocked it out. I hope those of you who followed and supported me on Vimm see this post and come check me out when I go live or the replay.
