Released in 2001, RTCW's multiplayer mode was a game-changer in the world of first-person shooters. With different classes to choose from, each with its own unique abilities and weapons, the multiplayer mode was fast-paced, intense, and required strategy and teamwork to succeed.

I have so many great memories of playing RTCW with my friends, trying out different strategies with my clan and working together in a 6 vs 6 format with stop-watch rules.

I even played in one of the top clans as the medic class which got 2:nd in Quakecon with the nick Alban. The game's mechanics were so well-designed that even after all these years, I still consider it to be one of the best multiplayer games I've ever played.

As a gamer, I've played many games over the years, but RTCW has a special place in my heart. Now, more than 20 years later, I still wish there was a remake of RTCW with similar gameplay mechanics done in Unreal Engine 5. Can you imagine how amazing that would be? With modern graphics and updated gameplay, a new version of RTCW could introduce the game to a new generation of gamers while still keeping the spirit of the original game alive.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a game that I will always remember fondly. Its multiplayer mode was ahead of its time. I hope that one day we'll see a similar game that does justice to the original. Anyone else agrees perhaps or am I the only one? What is your favorite game? Next game I want to post about is KDice:

KDice - Multiplayer Dice War
KDice is a multiplayer strategy online game played in monthly competitions. It's like Risk. The goal is to win every territory on the map.

Thanks for reading and may the Hive bee with you! ;)

no other former RTCW players on Hive? :)

To add a little more background to the story I actually didn't go myself to Quakecon when we came 2:nd as I had to do military service in Sweden as a medic (which is kinda funny as I was a medic in RTCW as well;) which suited me perfectly. So if u need a medic? #medic ;)
