Good Harvest : Red Onions

I wish that I can harvest a ton of onions like these right in my own backyard but I am already happy knowing that these are my son's harvest. He did not do the planting and harvesting himself but he partnered with a local farmer friend and invested some money. After a few months the onions are ready to be disposed. These are his share of the harvest.

As a mom. I was really surprised to know that my son who is already busy with his job working from home, was able to think of a promising side line. Being a garden lover myself it is my dream to be able to plant my own food for personal consumption. I think my son already fulfilled that dream in some ways. I feel truly blessed and I am happy for him.

This is a close up photo of the onions which my son took. From what I heard these are local onions, compared with the imported ones these are more flavorful hence the price. We send photos like this to our friends online in case they need to buy some. That is how we sell nowadays. Fast and convenient.

We sent a few sacks to my sister who lives in the next town. She wants to keep herself busy and earn a little extra. She is also selling mostly online and with this small batch of onions she can sell them all in a week. Here the onions are let to dry. They were freshly harvested and need to dry a bit.

Thank you for dropping by. Until next post,
Gus
