Hello, good evening everyone. How was your day? How was work and I hope it went smoothly. I'm sorry I have not been active. I had exams to write but now I'm back and active. Now as we all know stress is one thing that is inevitable in our everyday life.Let's take a stroll and look at the causes of stress. Stress can come from the following;
Work
Relationship issues
Academic pressure
Also personal expectations
Now let me break this all down for us for the aspect of work we all know no job is easy absolutely no job is easy, you go to work especially those working in Lagos you go to work by 4:00 a.m. when you are supposed to resume by 8:00 a.m or 9:00 a.m but because u don't want to go late to work you leave your house by 4 then you round up your work by 5:00 p.m. and then you try coming back home and your are hit by Lagos traffic wow just put it at the back of your mind that you are getting home late. Also sometimes u might be faced with some deadlines at work or let me say unruly customers who kinda find joy in stressing your life out🤦.
Relationship issues: this also can also be a means of stress in cases where you are in a relationship and also schooling and can't balance both it can be draining. Some might be in a toxic relationship which is a no-no for me and in this case you will always be stressed.
Academic pressure: we all know schooling in where I come from is never easy,the lectures to attend, the dues to pay. It's as if we're meant to work around the clock.
Personal expectations: This also can be a means of stress when you don't meet the goals you have set for yourself,it can also be expectations from someone let me use myself as an example, I tend to work myself up when you promise me something in the process I'll get tired if what is promised did not see reality. Mind you what may stress you out may work for someone else because we all experience stress in different ways.
Now let's see how we can relieve or overcome stress. The first step to relieving stress is to know what is stressing you out and work towards it, also physical activities, exercise, and meditation can do the job. Sleeping away your stress works for most people. As for me, when I'm stressed out mainly from my academics I tend to either take a stroll or ride a bike which my friends call weird 😀 sleep works for some people but not me☺️,also I know of someone who when she's stressed she would want to eat a food she is craving and when she is done she goes swimming, the does the magical for her.
So like I said before everyone experiences stress in different ways and forms,it's just for you to find out what stresses you out and work towards relieving yourself from stress,also I would love to hear from you what and what do you do to relieve yourselves of stress.
