What can I say... The year 2023 was an extremely captivating and exciting time for me - both in the digital space of blockchain and in real life. In particular, my increased presence at Splinterlands made this year a particularly fascinating period. Numerous decisions had to be made - some wise, others less so. But at the end of the day, we are all just people with our individual strengths and weaknesses. When I talk about people, I do so with great affection, because my highlights of the blockchain year 2023 are all about people. People I've had the pleasure of meeting, people I've met again and people I may yet meet on my travels. In a world full of digital transactions and crypto-economic decisions, it is the interpersonal connections that make up the real wealth of this year for me.

In the exciting month of June, we made our way to Berlin full of anticipation to present the fascination of our HIVE Blockchain and especially its social media aspect at a Cryptoconference. The time in Berlin was simply great and I had the pleasure of meeting many interesting people and seeing familiar faces from my five-year career on our blockchain. It was really enjoyable to spend a few days with you in Berlin. @alucian, @arcange, @broxi, @crimsonclad, @detlev, @elindos, @e-rich1, @flauwy, @gandalf, @howo, @louis88, @quekery, @rivalzzz, @solarwarrior, @ssekulji and his co-pilots (2), @starkerz, @stortebeker and @tibfox. A Day in the North of Germany - Walking in Norddeich
In the exciting month of September, we embarked on a short trip to the far north of Germany for a Splinterlands guild meeting. The focus was on finally getting to know the people behind the digital profiles in person, having a good time and strengthening the community. This gathering not only offered the opportunity to discover the faces behind the screens, but also a lot of fun and personal exchange.
The days were filled with cheerful get-togethers. Not only did we enjoy the socializing, but we also swapped digital keyboards for bowling balls, explored the North German dykes on a relaxing walk and had a good time with a beer or two. The weekend was characterized by hearty laughter, which made the digital world fade into the background and put personal connections in the foreground.
Special thanks go to our host @snaqz, whose hospitality and organization made this guild meeting a great success. His efforts were instrumental in making us not just digital players, but real friends. This weekend in the far north will be remembered as a wonderful experience that deepened the bond and fun that the Splinterlands community shares.
Diving into the secrets of darkness: My fascinating expedition to Morakot Cave on Ko Muk
It is a fascinating part of my current life that I regularly travel to Thailand. During my visits, I often meet people who have heard of the blockchain but have never heard of HIVE. In such conversations, I see an opportunity to raise awareness of our blockchain and the vibrant community behind it. It fills me with joy to bring others closer to the fascination of our platform and to arouse their curiosity.
A particularly pleasing development in this context is that I can finance part of my travel expenses by writing articles. Although this is only a modest contribution, it illustrates that it is fundamentally possible to receive financial support through creative activities within the blockchain community. This opportunity not only gives me the chance to continue my travels, but also strengthens my motivation to dive deeper into the details and technologies of our blockchain.
Sharing my travel experiences and discussing the potential of our platform during my stays in Thailand is not only a personal passion, but also a way to expand awareness of HIVE. It shows me how blockchain technology is not only driving digital innovation, but can also provide a foundation for personal growth and financial opportunity. These experiences not only enrich my own journey, but also help to share the diversity and opportunities that HIVE offers in a global perspective.
Reached my Goal - 60,000 Hive Power - 5 Years Birthday - Hive Blockchain Experience
Continuously setting and pursuing my own goals also plays a special role in my life. One of these important projects was the initiation of a stable backup witness node (@louis.witness). This project could not have been realized without the generous support of individuals like @arcange, @primersion and all my other supporters. The creation of this Backup Witness Node is not only a technical milestone, but also an expression of my dedication to the stability and security of the HIVE blockchain.
Furthermore, I have made it my mission to increase and actively curate my personal HIVE power. These endeavors are not only financial in nature, but also a contribution to promoting quality content and empowering the HIVE community. Setting realistic goals sharpens the focus and provides clear direction to realize these goals. Being aware of the importance of these individual goals has helped me to consistently strive towards a straight path and achieve my goals with sustained commitment.
Looking ahead to the coming year 2024, I have already set myself a new goal: to reach 80,000 of my own Hive Power. This ambitious challenge spurs me on to continue working hard and intensify my efforts. It is not only a quantitative increase, but also a qualitative further development of my contributions and activities within the HIVE platform, which I will increasingly strive for in the coming year. I am excited about the challenges and experiences this goal will bring and look forward to sharing this journey with the dedicated HIVE community.
