We are celebrating our 4th birthday as on of the first e-commerce solution for the Hive blockchain. The last 4 years have been filled with ups and downs, but we are still around! Our project has taken on different shapes over the years, but that is what innovation is all about, right?
It All Started With The Classifieds
Our goal was to offer a safe place for people to easily set up their own e-commerce hustles and be able to accept crypto payments. This came first in the form of the Hivelist Classifieds, which is our on-chain front end that let's users post items for sale, services they are offering, events and contests they are hosting, fundraisers, and more. At least that is what it was meant to be.
Then Along Came The Hivelist Store
We then transitioned into opening the Hivelist Store which was our way of allowing people to start their own sales business similar to Etsy or eBay, using our foundation to build on. We accept a host of different cryptocurrencies for payments, act as an escrow service between vendor and customer, then pay out vendors in HBD for their sales. As this part is still Web2-ish being that we control the store and the payments, it is still an easy way for people to get started selling products for crypto!
NFTs and DEFI
We even jumped in the world of DEFI and NFTs by launching our Hive-Engine outpost. This gave us the ability to have our own LIST token powered NFT marketplace and DEFI pool. Anyone with 1000 LIST staked and 100 LIST to pay the fee can sign up for the NFT marketplace and start selling their creation for LIST token. Then they can swap those tokens for SWAP.HIVE in our DEFI pool! Providing liquidity to the DEFI pool also earns a host of other tokens. Not only do you earn LIST, but you also earn our COM token, which pays out daily drips of SWAP.HIVE based on our post and curation rewards.
Now Is Your Time To Act
Needless to say, we have tried our best to offer as many money making opportunities to the Hive community as we could offer. We hope to continue this journey with the Hive community, but, we do need your help to survive the next year. We are officially at a crossroads in the fact that the Hive community hasn't been as supportive in our efforts as we would have hoped. We feel that we have given our all in this effort, but we need more support in the way of delegations to the Hivelist account, which earns more COM tokens, post rewards, and well, sales! We need people to actually come and use the services we offer to stay alive! We would love to celebrate a 5th year with you all, but we need your help and support to keep it going another year.
