Write what brings you happiness. It will show through in your posts and people will feel it and come because your joy carries over to them.
Contests are great to do to help get your name seen by more people. Same as leaving comments on others posts, yet make sure when someone comes to your blog you leave them interesting posts to read.
Just a bit of advice. You can use it or not.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am trying my best to improve my work and comments. In fact, I am busy on various fronts but spare enough time for writing a post every day and replying/writing comments on as many posts as possible. Thanks again.
