An event that made everyone Smile

in #hiveph3 years ago

Its the time of the year again where we all forget our worries temporarily and start merrymaking.

Yearly our local government facilitate a much anticipated Christmas Tree Lighting.

The said event is festive filled with lights, fireworks and production numbers. It is blended with immeasurable gladness of the children who are startled and awed of the light display.

The event also marks the preparation of our local town fiesta wherein multiple contests are being held like dancing, singing and beauty pageants to name a few.

Excitement covers the air of Antipolo. However, last year we didn't celebrate the joyous event. Thus, it was a strange December for all of us.

Fortunately, yesterday, after all health protocols was lifted, the Annual Christmas Lighting resumed. And, people were nothing but excited.

Despite the lurking new corona variant which is more dangerous, the people were determined to bring back the memories. Strict rules is being implemented for security and health safety

This year's theme is floral. As I walked along the park. I can obviously see some positive words being highlighted.

Filipinos are known to be resilient hence we got it from clinging to FAITH, HOPE and LOVE. The event reminded me that everything will be alright.

The center of attraction was the first ever light and water show of the newly built fountain.

Children and even elderlies cant help but be mesmerized of the show including me. As the continuous Christmas song plays in the background, I witness that everyone was transformed as child once more.

The place was crowded and its hard to have a decent shot. Nevertheless, it was a fulfilling experience and making me realize what I have missed last year.

Everyone is still wearing facemasks, but I can the big smiles through their eyes. There where endless laughter and of course picture takings as well as selfies.

This event was a source of hope after what we all have been through brought by the pandemic.

I can see parents bringing their children and they are so happy seeing their offsprings being entertained by the lights.

I can't forget that little boy who never stopped saying "wow" and it melts the hearts of everyone.

Covid19 took to us moments like this. But with faith, believing this will end one day keeps everyone going.

I can feel love in the atmosphere as I walk along. Families get together. Friends are having fun with one another. Children are having the best moments of their lives.

This pandemic like any other tragedy will pass. Celebrations like this can still be held provided with some regulations.

More than excitement, joy and fun. This event instill hope, faith and love. People around showcase heartfelt emotions its as if they were released from a long imprisonment. Christmas became more evident because of this event

For awhile I thought there is no danger. For a short moment, I felt COVID19 doesn't exist. For that little time I was freed. And I know, everyone shares the same feelings.

Kudos to the people behind Antipolo's Annual Christmas Lighting. Hoping to see this again next year. The light show will be present until the first week of January from 6pm to 10pm daily.
