KAAMULAN: BUKIDNON'S CULTURAL GATHERING

in #hiveph4 years ago

GOOD DAY HIVEANS !

I hope everyone's doing well during quarantine!

Since many events has been cancelled due to the virus, and one event from my place particularly KAAMULAN FESTIVAL has been called off because of it, so today i will be sharing the photos I've taken before on the said occasion.

WHAT IS KAAMULAN?

Kaamulan is from the binukid word “amul” which means “to gather”. It is a gathering of Bukidnon’s indigenous people for a purpose. It can mean a datuship ritual, a wedding ceremony,
a thanksgiving festival during the harvest time, a peace pact, entirely put together showcasing the unique indigenous culture of Bukidnon - Stated by The Province of Bukidnon

ENJOY!

FLOATS

The crocodile float is my favorite of all !

Each ethno-linguistic group continues to thrive by preserving and promoting their customs,
beliefs and practices.

I hope everyone liked the photos I've taken, kaamulan festival happens once a year and it usually celebrated in the month of March so if anyone's interested in attending the event i will be your guide to the place.

Let's hope we are covid-free next year ! let's spread positive energy ya'll

Hello ! thank you so much !

These are beautiful and artistic shots. We briefly visited Malaybalay City last March 2019 on our way to Dahilayan prior to the festivities. Too bad, we missed the parade. There was an open area with lots of food stands where we sampled delicacies.

thank you arni ♥️ you should visit more places here in bukidnon like the hobbit, lake apo, overview, strawberry farm and seagull .. i feel like you'll love it ! more to posts on hive too ! hahah

Ooh interesting places to explore, I haven't seen any of them yet. I love the beautiful countryside landscape of Bukidnon. 😀

They were very colourful and it's so nice to see tribesmen in Phils. I'm just wondering what they did. hehehe

will follow up the info later hahaha

These are absolutely beautiful!

thank you !!!
