Hello everyone! Since I mentioned 3D last post, I thought I should share one of my earlier 3D stuff! :> This was one of our activities in school and the assignment was to recreate these weapons in 3D! I think this was the first time I learned to actually use the texture nodes thing in Blender and I was so confused and super proud when I pulled it off. I'm not even kidding when I say it was so much technique crammed into my brain in such short period of time that I had to record myself doing it in case future me forgets how to do it >u< This is one of the 3D things I want to post about in the future HEHE It was so much fun. I love texturing.
I modelled all of the weapons and sheaths but the image textures I used weren't mine and I got them for free on this cool site. I think the most fun part was masking and combining different premade image textures as well as making the maps! I had sooo much fun. While I do enjoy modelling, nothing beats the texturing for me. I think this is mainly because I started out as a 2D artist ^^ 3D texturing is really like painting but you get to see it actually come alive! In different angles!

My classmates have actually been super supportive! They are quite literally what's keeping me going in this course because our profs are hardly any help ;w; There's like less than 10 of us left because the others have shifted out or have been delayed. All we have is each other really >u<
Nice!! Yeah I hate those profs that want you to self-learn even tho you literally enrolled there to be taught lol. Good to hear they are actually in fact supportive. Hopefully you all can finish it :D
Yeah! While I do understand self-learning or whatever is an important skill, sometimes my prof is like 'no, i don't wanna show you how to do it because you're just gonna copy me' ??? My brain simply can not comprehend the logic in that.
We are on our last year and we're on fours crawling to get through every term ;w;
