A Day in My Life: Rainy Day Reflections, Book Wisdom, and Gaming Realities

in #hiveph4 months ago
It was a rainy day when my work plans got abruptly canceled, leaving me to spend the day at home. As I sat down with a cup of coffee and grab a book, I realized that this could be an opportunity to learn, reflect, and indulge in my favorite pastime: gaming. Join me as I take you on a journey through my day of contemplation, gaming adventures, and unexpected interruptions.

The news of the cancelled workday came late, leaving me disappointed about the wasted effort of waking up early. However, I soon shifted my perspective and realized that being home on such a day could be a unique experience. The sound of rain was comforting, and the surreal feeling of watching it from the inside while wrapped in a comfortable blanket was therapeutic in itself.

I picked up "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S. Clason, a book I had been meaning to read for a while. The concept of paying oneself first caught my attention, and I reflected on the challenges of saving money and eliminating debt. I realized how simple habits, such as saving a small percentage of each check, could lead to significant financial gains in the long run.

I decided to stream Mobile Legends on Twitch, and after a few rounds, the frustrating reality of playing with uncooperative teammates started setting in. This caused me to reflect on the importance of team composition in gaming, as it directly impacts the chances of success. I also shared the difficulties of solo ranking and how it can be more challenging to climb the ranks without a team that works well.

Unfortunately, a phone call interrupted the stream, and I had to end it earlier than planned. The key lesson here was the importance of managing distractions while streaming and the need for a backup plan when things don't go as planned.

If you share similar interests in reading, gaming, and reflective thinking, then I invite you to join me on my Twitch channel and be a part of our growing community. Let's explore the world of gaming and personal growth together, share our experiences, and work towards becoming the best version of ourselves.

Do you read books digitally? What app do you use?

I prefer reading physical books but whenever I could get my hands on a digital copy, usually in PDF, my go to app would be Adobe Reader. I find reading eBook more taxing for my eyes than a physical book.
