I was surprised to have awakened to a downpour, believing that the tropical storm would have passed by early morning. It turned out another one came in right after Gener, the previous one, moved out. Fortunately, it seems tropical storm Helen didn't enjoy her stay in the Philippines and was on her way out at 5 PM (GMT+8) today. I hope my fellow Filipinos are safe and dry.
Overall, the day was great, considering having an excuse for being late for work – the rain. And, despite being late, all is well.
Hooray! We’re halfway through the workweek again. Friday is just a day away. If no one else has told you so, let me be the one to say – "Keep it up! You’re doing great!"
Although this is slowly becoming a regular part of my blog – it wasn’t my intention at all, but rather an excuse for being "at a loss for words." Here’s a villanelle to sum up how my week has gone so far:
Woke up, then crashed for three days in a row,
It had to be done for my well-being,
There goes my energy, out the window.
Of all the things, I ask, why must this be?
Once energizing, but now it’s draining:
Woke up, then crashed for three days in a row.
Went to bed hoping that the rain would stop.
Comes tomorrow, still welcomed by pouring;
There goes my energy, out the window.
Oh, the pouring rain hums a lullaby
In a moment, I found myself sleeping,
Woke up, then crashed for three days in a row.
Again, the day began and it went slow,
Time kept passing by, both slow and fleeting;
There goes my energy, out the window.
Feeling powerless, going with the flow,
Knowing this is all for my wellbeing
Woke up, then crashed for three days in a row,
There goes my energy, out the window.
Again, this is how my week has gone so far, and I do hope everyone’s having a fantastic week. Feel free to share how yours has been going in the comments section – let's savor the moment and celebrate our small wins together.
