This rule increases Melee attack and Speed when damaged. Values are multiplied by 1.5 and rounded up.
We'll be talking what cards / abilities that are a good combination for this rule.
Attacking
It's obviously melee monsters who benefits the most when it comes to attacking where they are granted a multiplier of 1.5 for their Melee attack and Speed.
Retaliate ability will also help since there is a high chance that your opponent will use melee to increase their damage. Before triggering Retaliate, you will have the Rage buff which will grant you more damage than your opponent on the first round. If you love gambling, go with Exploding Dwarf retaliate + blast + rage is really a killer. Lord of Darkness is also good front liner for his Shield ability and Retaliate.
Trample ability is also a good choice, with the increase in attack, chance of killing the monsters will also increase. The new splinter Grund, is a good choice for the trample combined with Double Strike ability.
Defense
For defense, it is obviously high speed monsters or +1 speed summoner for building dodge, just make sure to take into account that your opponent's speed will also increase when they received damage. Dodge, Flying, Phase, Swift and Blind are abilities that compliments this build.
Shield ability also helps in this case to halve the damage you receive. Example, their original Melee attack was 5 and was increased to 8 due to rage, you will only receive 4 damage because of the 50% reduction of Shield.
Forcefield also helps a lot against those Melee monsters with high attack damage. Damage becomes 1 for those monsters that has 5+ damage.
One of the best tank, for this is probably Djinn Oshannus, with the help of Forcefield to nullify the increase in Melee attack, high speed, Void and Phase ability makes him a good tank. Will be best if combined with monsters with Swift and blind ability like Spirit Miner. Watching a match using a dodge deck will definitely make you nervous and pray for them to miss.
Counter
For countering against the build above, it will be good to bring Demoralize and Slow abilities in your side. Just make sure to look at you enemies past history, like bringing Demoralize does not make any sense if your opponent will use magics.
Something to watch out
- Reverse speed rule set, avoid using high speed monsters as this will increase the speed difference in your opponent which will make you miss the target.
- Heal will also remove the rage ability at some point when you healed all the damage you received in the match
- Rage only happens when your HP was reduced, so it won't work if armor absorbed all the damage
