I'm also playing Rising Star, the only difference is lately I have been buying 12 packs to increase fans in the hope that I get a legendary. Atm, I'm at 76k fans mainly because a month ago I go lucky and opened a Jux, which allowed me to be able to buy packs much faster. Also I am buying tons of mics, atm I get an average of 1,000 skill per lesson with a total of 131,000 skill, but it's not enough to keep up, because with drunk fans pushing me up to around 100k fans I am having ego problems.
I'm curious to know which level you're at, have you unlocked all the four islands yet?
I'm at level 93 so on the third island for a while yet.
That's interesting that with 76K fans to my 60k fans you have a lot more microphones than me and getting around 10x the skill per lesson than I am and you are struggling with ego. That suggests I'm going to hit the same problem fairly soon and have to invest a lot more in microphones/instruments myself. I have 83k skill total, about half from cards and half from lessons.

Every night I try do two 5 hour missions while sleeping with the hopes of bottling up almost 10K drunk fans and then I do a bunch of long missions in the morning to bottle up as many drunks as possible and then I open them all up when I am ready to do all the small missions.
Although, I am not sure the exact amount, but for now, it looks like I need to have a buffer of maybe 50k more skill than fans. For instance, yesterday with all the drunks, I had 96k fans and 137k skill and an ego of 2.
Here is a look at my account in the morning, while I prepare and before I unbottle all the drunk fans.

Oh I see - that's a good trick with the drunk fans - you are using them much more efficiently than me.
I currently have a buffer of about 8-10k skill more than I have permanent fans and just use drunk fans as soon as I get them. I can see you way probably makes better use of them - I'd need a few more whiskey bottles (I only have 2 right now) - do you think your strategy is worth the extra effort it takes?

Tbh, I only have 3 whisky bottles and I am thinking about getting a fourth, so I only store the larger amounts of fans, and I always keep one empty when doing longer missions.
I think the whisky bottles are extremely important, it's the equivalent to having an extra 10k to 20k fans. Using this method and with all four land masses opened, if I manage to have a perfect day, were I'm always in a mission, I can make between 50k to 60k starbits in a day, but most days I make just over 40K, because I either over sleep or I have long periods where forget to do missions.
The most important missions are those 5 and 10 minute ones, so in 3 or 4 hours I earn 80% of those starbits for the day and then it takes a dedicated 20 hours to squeeze out the last 20% of starbits.
The veteran players advised me to buy XpBoost when I first started, because of how overpowered they are, so I bought a 50 and a 100, which really helped me to level up. I've heard that it takes 2 years to level up without them, but I think it's taken me about 4 months to get to level 300 with the boosts.

No I don't have any XpBoosts - and I've been going about 10 months to get to level 91. So your XpBoosts have made a big difference, I hard a look today but they are crazy expensive now.
I will try and adopt some of your strategy of focusing on getting more drunk fans for the short missions though - I reckon I could earn a bit more that way.
