LP Los Chamos and Mickey Mouse Disco
Among the albums that I was able to find interesting on this occasion was a Venezuelan musical production by the group Boyband Los Chamos and a Mickey Mouse LP in disco music but in the Spanish language.
Boyband a story between Europe, the United States and Latin America
Although we can consider The Beatles as the first Boyband in the 60s, the appearance of the Jackson 5 shaped the format and in 1977 Latin America would take a step forward with the creation of the group Menudo.
Los Chamos the Venezuelan proposal
The group had often been living in Venezuela due to the great fan base that had existed since its formation, and that was precisely what producer Luis Gerardo Tovar took advantage of when he found a gap in the industry but this time with a Venezuelan label.
In 1981 the group Los Chamos was formed and in 1982 began its tour in Mexican territory, achieving worldwide fame. Only in Mexico they managed to sell more than 2 million nightclubs.
The band lasted until 1997, going through 5 generations where singers such as Adolfo Cubas stood out, who after leaving the band established himself as a theater and television actor and later Carlos Baute appeared who continued achieving success as a solo singer.
Mickey Mouse Disco
This Disneyland Records production was launched in 1979 and it does not surprise me that a company as large as these has different forms of marketing different formats taking advantage of the historical figures of this animation house.
They arrived late to the entry of this genre and do not really represent the idealization of the brand. I think he does better making movies than promoting popular music of the time.
What I do find interesting is the fact that it is a musical production in Spanish since it denotes the large audience that they continue to have in the past and present in Latin America.
