RE: Hivewatchers: Innovation’s Worst Enemy?

in #hivewatchers19 days ago

Not really a fan of seeing AI content. Maybe for some backend process automations or search capabilities. Not really seeing the value proposal yet, just another attempt to jump on the AI hype train without a real purpose or community need to satisfy. I see this so much in my daytime tech world. Hope we can keep escaping it here for awhile longer until there is proven value.

I get it. The question isn't just if we are seeing AI content, but when. Was this answer written by AI?

Haha, exactly we need some AI to detect the AI.

But that is my point. I don't particularly want AI on Hive. But based on what I'm seeing, it will be inevitable as some point. So instead of fighting it, why not find a way how it works in our favour?

True, but that should be done in an isolated testing environment, and then once some value or requirements proposed, reviewed and voted on before just testing in production. Basic SDLC and common sense rules to prevent disruption and gain buy-in before trying to just stick something in place. Just because you "can" do something doesn't mean you "should".
