After a number of amendment, as a member of @orientalhub, I announce that the HK-Jp-SG cross-community challenge will be officially launched on 4th of May!
@orientalhub is HK-based Steemit-driven entity aiming to become a coordination and central communication point for HK based Steemit users and evolve into an Asian hub regularly co-hosting events on Steemit with communities around the globe in long term.
Now we have only four members: @htliao, @honoru, @prch and me @aaronli. We formed the @orientalhub in a dinner. We brainstormed a lot of ideas and target but are still confused of how to achieve them. At the same moment, @prch found that the JP and SG communities got the same question of gathering users during his chatting with users of the two communities. So, we try to organize this event targeting to encourage the communication between the three communities, as well as encouraging users of the three communities to publish posts. Also, we would like to take the challenge as an experiment to evaluate our future direction and model.
It is an interesting challenge. The target participants are users of the three communities. They can choose any culture of the three communities (except the community he/she belongs to) as the topic their post and introduce the culture. So users will try to understand the culture of other communities and when they find the post of other users introducing their culture, it results in the communication between them! We have to thank a lot of friends for the challenge. The first one is @prch who coordinate with the representative of the three communities and contribute 6 SBD as prizes! And also @jrvacation, @kinakomochi, @sho-t, @yo-yo and @fukako! The challenge is nothing without you! And then we have to thank all upvote supporter who make our challenge become perfect! Last but not least, thanks @htliao and @honoru who work behind!
Here, I would like to response the question of why we accept three communities only. Actually we also want to invite users of all communities to join. But you have to know that it’s the first time we organize a cross communities challenge. We lack experience, budget and manpower. We are not skillful enough to balance the arrangement of expected number of entries, distribution of prizes and details of the challenge. We don’t want to damage the challenge just by our lack of experience. So we will try to take it as an experiment with three communities only. After this challenge gaining experiences, we will organize more challenges and invites communities all over the world to join!

經過數次的修改，作為@orientalhub的其中一員，我宣佈@orientalhub的第一個活動，HK-JP-SG三地文化挑戰，將於5月4日正式開始！
@orientalhub是一個以香港基地的社區建立計劃，目的在於成為Steemit香港地區的協調及傳訊中文，凝聚香港地區的用戶，長遠發展成亞洲區的樞紐，與世界各地的社區建立融和的關係。
現時@orientalhub只有4人，就是@htliao，@honoru和@prch，@orientalhub就是我地在一次晚餐中組成的。在成立過程中，我們想到很多的點子，很多的目標，不過要如何實行，仍有很多謎題要解開，不過就在這個時候，@prch在與日本steemit用戶交流的時候，了解到日本社區也面臨同樣的社區凝聚問題，同時新加坡地區的用戶也參與討論，表示同一問題，故此，我們嘗試組織了一個這樣的活動，一是增進三地交流，鼓勵用戶發文，與其他社區的用戶溝通，二則是作為@orientalhub的實驗性活動，以此活動檢視未來@orientalhub的方向和執行方式！

最後，要回應一下某些朋友所問，為何這次只接受三個社區的朋友參與？其實我們也十分希望可以邀請更多社區的朋友一同參與，不過有鑑於這次是我們辦的第一個活動，經驗、資金、人力都缺乏，我們暫時仍預算不到參與人數、獎金、活動細節等的協調，為了不讓活動被我們的青澀破壞，所以我們先以三個地區為單位進行實驗，待有了第一次經驗，所謂一次生、兩次熟，米已成炊的情況下，我們將會舉辦更多不同類形的活動，邀請各地社區的朋友參加！
