It's really hard to adjust from one style of dressing to another especially when one is not prepared for it. It's sad that you didn't get what you wanted and had to sell it at a giveaway price.
That's why is always best to buy traditionally but that's even hard because you hardly see what you like and outside that it's also a lot stressful.
