Apparently I don't pay attention to things happening in the community, because I hadn't even noticed until now that I (along with some other fine folks) was featured in a couple other steemiter's (probably not the term, but rolling with it) posts.
Specifically, these two:
List of Steemit users that are posting about 3d Printing - posted by @techtek
List of all Steemit users with interest in "printing" and "3d" - posted by @tarekadam
I think these are awesome posts, props to both @techtek and @tarekadam for making them. If you haven't checked out those lists yet and are looking for more users in the 3d printing community here, I highly recommend it.
While I do appreciate the exposure, I'm also choosing to take these mentions as a reminder to try and follow more of the community and be more active where I can. As a (admittedly shy) introvert it's easy for me to get stuck inside my own little bubble, so I'm going to try looking for ways where I can keep participating and adding value to the community that work for me. I've already started by following a bunch of the users on those lists above.
Thanks for all your support! As always, look forward to more fun things to come :)
you're making steemit a great community with your content
Thank you! That means a lot to me :)
YOU'RE WELCOME
Wow apparently it is easy to miss out on things because even tagging @ someone doesn't notify him or her. (?!)
I just lucky to find your post even mentioning my name.
I will try my best to make and help with building the 3D Printing Steemit Community.
Yesterday i changed all the text on my Thingiverse models to included a invite to steemit, every day around 100 views.
Hope that can make the viewers curies to Steemit as well.

Notifications have been really screwy for me lately, in fact I tend not to really get them anymore from the site. I'd like to find some way of making them work again and ideally on my phone so it's easier to check.
Good call on the thingiverse text, should attract at least some people into 3d printing
i also tried the Steemit rss feed but apparently it doesn't push the feed or something because updated come late but this can also be the RSS tool.
Notifications would be very useful, and i have tried a few alternatives but most dont work.
i tried IFTTT (Steemit) and google alerts as well, but but i didn't find a way yet, to push the notifications.
(It would be nice if notification would work better, i also want to use the notifications for some Raspberry PI projects)
A quick search on steem tools shows this browser extension that will check for you: https://steemit.com/steemit/@fleuri/steemit-notifications-browser-extension-download-now
I'm going to try it out, but what I would really like is to get mobile notifications so I don't need to be on my computer to see when activity happens. The mobile site is ok, but doesn't really work well to that end.
I'll try out IFTTT, see if I can't somehow make it work. Not sure if I'll have any better luck, but we'll see.
IFTTT would be very useful and can be used for so many different purpose.
The browser plug-in didn't work for me but maybe i need to restart my (full) browser some time...
Please keep me posted with your progress

Nice design, well done! By the way if you are looking for steemians filtered by interest I like to suggest checking http://steem-buddy.com
@tarekdam Very useful ! i used your tool to make my list of users in combination with google site search to find people posting about 3d printing.
Thanks for your feedback, I am happy you like it.
Thanks! Looks like a very useful tool, I'll poke around and see who I can find
Nice print! What printer do you use?
I have a Prusa i3 MK2S
A great printer! I started out with a Prusa i2 kit 6 years ago and recently switched to a Cetus3D. I had a Fabtotum in-between also, but that never worked very well.
I've heard a lot of good things about the Cetus, didn't spring for it though because of the small build area.
Prusa i2? Nice! You've been at this far longer than I have :) I started out with an M3D a couple years ago when it first got kickstarted but had it mostly shelved until this last year, in part because it was difficult to get working.
Nice post, nice print, happy to ear about another 3D printing nerd :-)
Thanks! Always fun to find more people in the hobby
Hey I am a 3d printing addict from Germany :) Eventually my posts are interesting for you too ! Thanks for the links to the both users. I will check them out !
nice shearing....!
