I’m finally on holiday.
✈️⛱🌞🍻🍦(+ other relevant emojis etc)
Well, I guess you can call it a holiday in the classic sense, of going to another county with a beach.
There’s nothing like a trip away with the wife (@radicalpears) in blistering August heat with two children under 5yrs old to truly test your parenting (and patience) skills.
My actual ideal holiday scenario, is the kind where you actually get to relax.
Read a book.
Watch Netflix.
Sit in the shade.
Dip in the sea.
Take a shit by yourself.
All in silence and/or at preferred volume.
And not have any responsibilities for any other human except yourself.
However, we won’t be getting all that just yet.
BUT when things do go well (which is most of the time to be fair - they’re awesomely clever but occasionally challenging kids) I have two small humans who look up to me and call me dad.
We have a wonderful relationship and that’s something you can’t ever put a price on. ❤️
Still though, when they’re old enough, I’m going off on a holiday with just the wife.
No bones about it.
And it’s going to be flipping brilliant.
But I’ve enjoyed today the most so far.
On the beach I’m sure I was the whitest bare-chested man in Italy.
I’m so pale you could shine a light through me.
Some were staring at me. Like wtf IS that guy.
I love that you can spot an Brit on holiday anywhere in the world.

Us Brit’s only have chance to get our tops off outside for three days a year during the BST, if the going’s good.
Even though I’m off duty, I’ll keep curating for now when I can get the chance, but my posts will be less regular than usual for the next week or so.

@anarcotech T is home sick already too. Him and Amber did a FaceTime last night which they were both super excited about.
Time is flying here so we will be back in no time where he then gets 4 days straight of full play with his friends whilst we go camping! Going to be ace.
