I hope you enjoyed the flight, the bike thing will pay a lot of dividends, things and action of that nature always pay of in the end, It may not happen real quick, but one day down the road it will be paid back. It happened to/for me. I help a complete stranger out, went home with out that new stereo I was going to buy, 25 years later, I was completely incapable of removing snow and that was done for free by a nice person, so I can pretty much guarantee your kind action will be paid back.
Live life how you see fit, have some time with your mother and uncle and other family members, make some new memories, share some old memories.
When SAD starts to hit if you are still there in the winter, get a light box and natural sun lights, they help a little bit, but to be honest not a whole lot, just enough to take the edge off somewhat and help make it through the day.
Sadly I've got a few hours to wait at the airport. Public transport 10 x cheaper than the taxi though so I can't complain.
25 years for the karma to come back around, I'll rak that actually as I have hopes of being on an Island in the sun again by then.
I'd like for a summer off, living cheap and seeing my daughter a lot. If my qualified role turns up though I will take it, but I hope not have to get desperate and accept anything.
Re: SAD and the lamp, I had one of those and to be honest it did sweet FA. It did get nice and warm though which was a nice feeling, as soon as it was time to leave it though, the gloom returned. Let's see how we go :)
