Here is my 125 gallon tank currently....

But it needs a bartop and I can't decide on what it should be!! Feel free to weigh in! Would love your input. Thanks and happy Friday!

What a bout a giant red cedar plank, as it is not weathered by humidity and lightweight! That would look amazing with this piece...

Namaste :)

Love this! I'm in the process of making a At in my garage but this has topped my plans.

I hope you would take the time to check out my blog and give me a little follow, you may catch glimpses of my bar once it's complete ;)

Will do! Thanks for the comment!

Upvoted, followed, and resteemed -- thanks! I will take advantage of this service at some point, thanks for making it. (Although another 200 or so and I won't qualify, which is also pretty neat! :) )

I like that your "welcome bot" welcomed yourself on this post. :)

Nice tank setup! I used to have a little 29 gallon salt water tank and loved messing with it. I wish I could offer a good recommendation for a bar top, but I'm sure anything you could come up with would be better than what I might suggest.

Thanks for your post.

This too is salt! My buddy got me hooked on it about 8 years ago... No turning back! Thanks for your reply!

You're welcome, and yep, you do get hooked, that's for sure!

That's absolutely stunning! Could we get more of pictures of your mancave? :D

Yes! I'll take some soon and post them. I appreciate your comment!

Very cool. I would wrap the wood frame at the top with the metal plate you used on the bottom and then just go with a slightly oversized piece of Thick 2-3 inches clear Acrylic.

Hey man, looking sick so far!

Ok, so, man, you're going to have a bit of work, but if you don't feel intimidated by it then you really need to check this out:

It's a bartop with a river running through it... you can place leds to change the mood according to the lighting you have or simply to make it fit your own bartop (blue seems to be the right color).

Alternatively, I see some posters on the wall that match a Steampunk setting, and the metal does too. so you could try this technique:

Embedding diving tools on the bar top and passing some Jewish Bitumen and varnish on top to give it that look on the pic.

Cheers Man!

I am gonna look into this, so cool! Reminds me of the SAW movies or any thrillers really! Thank you for this reply.

wtf... 14 votes on this comment of yours? xD

lol yea steemit is all about figuring out how to get bots to vote for you and such I have no idea what i am doing obviously.

I think a corian countertop would be the best bet. It would be very durable (waterproof) and would not break the glass like a piece of granite. You can also get them in custom shapes.
